It's one bugbear of mine. Everyone moans about 'balancing' in the competitive meta but terrain layout has such a huge impact on balancing. GW could theoretically create a great balance using their own GW layouts but as soon as this gets played on out UKTC and WTC it creates imbalances GW then need to try and resolve by adjusting points/rules, and impacting their own balance on GW terrain.

Naturally, going into 11th and the change that terrain is now even more important than ever its pretty unanimous amongst my team that we'd love for UKTC to align with GW layouts for consistency. Is that a common impression amongst the community?

I struggle to see the upside of third party terrain layouts these days. The only (big) issue for someone like UKTC is they have £100k of terrain at the moment. How likely would it be for GW to officially help large organisers like UKTC by supplying them with subsidised or even free terrain packs to help them start the journey to alignment?

Just a thought I haven't seen people point out:

New Terminator Detachment has an upgrade (which you can take multiple times) which gives Terminator squads permanent sustained hits.

Paired with Carnival of Excess you're looking at have crits on 5+'s on your terminator squads too.

This actually puts their damage output pretty great for the points. You could also pair the possessed blade enhancement on a kakophonists power sword with a terminator squad too for a Ap2 D2 power sword with Crit 5+ sus.
