Was Jill breaking the fourth wall here?
I've watched this episode numerous times and I always thought that when Jill said this, she was saying the saying "the show must go on." I never actually thought she literally meant "Dance Moms has to go on."
Christi may not jealous but I think she does hold some resentment towards Maddie
I don't blame Christi since she and Chloe went through a lot of sabotage. I think from Christi's point of view, she sees Maddie as a reminder of what could have been.
This may be the weirdest question and very parasocial but....
When did Christi's grandma pass? She mentioned it this week, but I could've sworn she talked about it in a past BTTB episode, so I was wondering if it was a similar Mrs.Miller situation. I only point this out because Christi has mentioned many times that her grandparents practically raised her, so this must have been really hard for her to lose, essentially her mother figure. As you can see I know way too many facts about this show😭
Would it have been better to be friends with production or with Abby?
I was thinking who the moms would benefit more by if they were friends with production or Abby. At first, I thought production because they have a major say in the edits and portrayals of the kids. Christi was known to be friends with production and Chloe did have the edit of being an underdog, but I don't think she was left with many opportunities. Whereas with Abby, she honestly seems to have a lot of power with production, as described on BTTB. Melissa being friends with Abby allowed Maddie to be protected as she got good choreo, rarely lost, and had huge opportunities. Idk which would be better tho.
Do you think another Eden arc is coming up or a potential solo Yor/solo Loid arc is next? Or even more Twiyor chapters!
After the conclusion of the last chapter, I would think the Twiyor arc is coming to an end, so I am really curious to see where Endo is going to focus next. I like the Eden chapters but we have gotten a lot and I think it would be a good time for a solo Loid arc and going deeper into his feelings for Yor.
Is this the Kid's Choice award that Christi always talks about? Because Jojo doesn't even touch the award or talk at all
Christi always mentions how at the kids' choice awards, Jojo is the one who takes the award and gives a speech, even though the season they won was one where Jojo wasn't on but Chloe was. I found the show and was watching it through and Jojo didn't do any of that, so I was wondering whether this is really the award she was talking about? Everything else lines up like the clip they showed had Chloe in it; both Christi and Chloe were present at the show, and this is the only kids' choice they won.
I know the moms said they wanted to look nice on camera but I'm sorry is this really the best they could come up with😭 (excluding Melissa)
I DON'T MEAN ANY HARM!! The moms said they wanted to look nice on camera because they were going to be on TV which is understandable,so I find their outfit choices pretty funny. Excluding Melissa because Abby told her to dress casually, I didn't think Christi's outfit was that different from Melissa's. Kelly looks ready to lounge by the pool. And Holly probably just got off work. I'm sure these clothes were in style back then, and it's actually pretty cool to see how fashion has evolved since then.
The moms calling Domenica "Dominatrix" reminds of when Abby refused to say Chloe's name
Hot take, but it's degrading to purposefully misprounounce someones name, similar to how it is to purposefully ignore someone. Obviously, the circumstances are different because one is an adult and one is a child and Abby was downright despicable doing that to Chloe when she was just a kid. But the moms continuously pronouncing Dominaca's name wrong shouldn't be seen as a joke. I'm not gonna lie, I feel like it's a little microaggressive as well.
Was Abby mad at Maddie this week because why was her costume so plain compared to Nia's and Kendall's
In season 5 episode 25 Maddie competed her solo "Loose Canon" against Nia and Kendall and my question is, why is her costume so meh? Nia's and Kendall's costumes this week were so gorgeous which is surprising because most of the time they are the ones to get bad costumes. I don't think this costume really portrayed the "loose canon" theme either. Abby got mad at the girls earlier in the week and Maddie seemed to take it the hardest; even Melissa was upset with what Abby was saying. That fight was heavily edited so I wonder what was said and if this was sort of a way to punish Maddie?
Should Melissa's affair been brought up?
Melissa never really reacted to things, but whenever someone mentioned her sleeping with her boss, she had a huge reaction, which was good for the show. But this was also a pretty personal situation for Melissa, especially knowing how her ex-husband was. Christi and Kelly always talk about how their personal lives were talked about on the show, but I can't think of many times other than them wanting to get work done on their bodies. They also justify talking about Melissa's affair because Abby talked about it.
I loved the girls in matching sets!
I don't know if this is an unpopular opinion or not, but I loved it when the girls matched! I despiseeeee Abby, but I have to give her credit, this was a really smart idea for her brand because I so wanted an ALDC shirt when I was younger.
Christi, Kelly and Alcohol
They have made drinking/being drunk their schtick, and I think it has done them more harm than actually being funny. They have stated that they were given drinks on set, and many big fights, like New Orleans and post-season 2 nationals, were caused because Christi was drunk. I think Kelly is slightly better at holding her alcohol, but I've noticed on some BTTB episodes towards the end, she seems a little drunk, and I've seen a post on here saying Kelly was a little drunk on tour. Not to mention Christi's DUI in 2024 where she crashed into a pole. Them making jokes and taking pride in being drinkers is a little sad. They are adults and can do as they wish but I wanted to share my concern for them, which I think others will agree with.
Why was Paige so overlooked?
I was rewatching season 2 nationals and it's actually insane how little Paige got to do in the Last Text. I'm no dance expert and do not know the names for many moves but throughout the dance, Paige mostly stays in the seat and does a split or chin stand. I compared this to Mackenzie, who I think did a round off back handspring. Again, I am no expert, but I do think Mackenzie's move was more difficult to execute than Paige's. I just don't get why Abby couldn't give something more to do because she is a really good group dancer.
