Thoughts on DIY climbing branches from outdoors?

Hi guys! Just wondering what the general opinion is on using branches collected from outside... I'm hoping to add a few climbing branches in once I upgrade to a taller enclosure, and I read about a few methods of making branches safe but just wondering if it's even a good idea to begin with as I'd love to save some money with some DIY if possible.
The methods I read included sanding them down and then either putting them in the oven or in a bleach soak to sanitize them, however I'm still skeptical about it (worried it could bring in something unhealthy) and wondering if anyone could share their experiences if they've done so!

What happened to SteelSeries software?

Hey all, just looking to hear other users experiences lately with the software.
I'm sure its not just me as I have a friend with the same issues with SteelSeries GG but just wondering how common these problems are... I swear the app used to function smoothly with minimal issues but ever since the past year or so it's just been problem after problem - the main ones being:
- App just refuses to load, opens up but stays on infinite loading screen; restarting & closing in task manager helps sometimes but other times no luck
- Moments being incredibly picky about when it wants to work, sometimes I go to clip something to find out Moments is just not working at all, I either can't even click into the moments section or it gets the same infinite loading circle...

Has anyone else been having these issues as of late (or even just noticed a general downgrade in software function) and has anyone found possible causes?
Honestly thinking about switching my whole set up to a different brand at this point - which is really disheartening because I originally viewed SteelSeries in high regards...
If anyone has alternative similar brand suggestions, I'd be happy to hear them!

First BP, looking for advice

Hi all! First time snake owner here - a friend had a snake that wasn't getting the care he needed and wanted to rehome so I took him in. It's been over ten years since I was heavily into researching snakes so I'm a little overwhelmed with researching right now and just looking for some tips from a community!

I'm firstly just looking for feedback on if my enclosure layout looks suitable and if there's anything I should move around in it or adjust (I have a couple larger hides I will probably add in - it just seemed a bit cramped with the bigger plastic hide).

As well as that, I'm really struggling with the humidity which I'd like to get sorted ASAP since the lil' guy has some shed stuck over his eyes as his enclosure conditions weren't great before.
I can't seem to get the humidity any higher than around 55%. The tin foil on top is on there because I read it helps keep the humidity in, and I've been adding water to the substrate (coco soil) and spraying around the enclosure and sides with water. The humidity did go up to about 70% after a spray but I think that was just water on the sensor possibly(?) since it went right back down less than a minute after.

Another thing is the thermometer and thermostat constantly show different temperatures and I'm not sure how much of a problem that is..? I've been keeping the thermostat a little lower than what it should be as the temp reading is always 1-3+ degrees higher on the other thermometer but should I just keep the thermostat as is and trust it over the other thermometer?

I plan on buying a different heat source (I'm thinking CHE or DHP but not sure which) to heat during the night so it's not 24/7 light. I'm also a little unsure how to set up my plugs to automate between the two heaters as I only have the one thermostat. The current light also seems very flickery with constant dimming and brightening rapidly during the night which I'm not sure if that's normal or not?

Any tips and advice are greatly appreciated!! <3 And my DMs are also open if anyone would prefer to send advice in there!

(ALSO just wanted to add: the radiator behind is turned off! Just in case anyone was worried about that disrupting temps)
