Is it just me or has Claude Code been super slow lately?

Like last 2-3 days at least. Or since they announced the higher usage limits. Maybe not actually higher usage limits...just slower product so people can't use it as fast...

Anyone else feel the same?

STARTS IN 1 WEEK - Vibe Coding Intensive @ Brooklyn Spark (May 20-29)

Ever wanted to build an app, personal tool, website, or a game, but felt blocked by the technical barrier? Or maybe you’re a developer looking to 10x your efficiency?

Welcome to the Vibe Coding Multi-Day Intensive at Brooklyn Spark. Over four evening sessions, we will move from concept to published creation. You will learn how to harness advanced AI coding agents (like Claude Code and Gemini Code Assist) to build real software through natural conversation.

This isn't just a class on how to prompt; it's a blend of instruction and creation. You will learn the tools, workflow, mindset, and important concepts, skills, and techniques that will enable you to guide AI to build exactly what you’re imagining. The course is a mixture of guided learning, one-on-one help, and group explorations where everyone will learn from each other's experiments, successes, and mishaps.

Hi r/NYCTeachers! I’m a local artist, educator, product manager and tech founder, and I’ve spent the last year teaching a series of Vibe Coding workshops at Brooklyn Spark, NYC Resistor, and Fairfield University.

I’m posting here because I’ve seen how these workshops transforms participants who have zero technical background. I recently led a program for liberal arts students who went from being "non-techy" to launching real web projects for a hackathon in just days. As one student, Maggie, put it: "The most valuable thing I got was confidence in myself with technology. It is no longer something that I fear."

I'm starting my next intensive on May 20, and I’d love to see more NYC teachers there, either to learn how to build your own custom classroom tools or to help your students move beyond "chatbots" and start actually creating software.

This is a 4-day, hands-on intensive where you will move from concept to a published website or tool using natural language and AI agents. It’s designed to be accessible, and focused on building a finished project you can actually use.

Feel free to reach out if you have any questions about the curriculum or how to bring this to your students!

To mods: I saw the message that I may need approval to post something like this. Not sure how to get it, so please consider this me asking for it very nicely :) Thank you!
