What are the last major technical hurdles Skyrim modding has left to overcome?

Upon seeing dynamic snow collision, I start to ask myself the question, what are the big things for modding to conquer?

Those final technical achievements you'd like to see from the modding community before the arrival of ES6. That's not to say Skyrim modding will go away forever, but what peaks are left to conquer, what stones are left unturned? Path tracing is about the main one I can think of.

GameList Visual Editor - Allows you to adjust Onion OS box art covering your game list and font size on Miyoo handhelds

If you've used Done Set 3 or any other Miyoo Mix-style art pack, you've probably run into this: the artwork sits at a fixed size on top of the screen, and depending on your theme and font size, it can eat into the title text above or below it. There's no setting buried in Onion to fix this - it's baked into how the (closed source) MainUI renders things. This tool helps work around some of this from the asset side: shrink the art, fade it, and/or shrink the list font, until it stops covering what you actually want to read.

This cannot be something people just accept, right?

My first time installing onion OS as well as ROMS. I spent an hour trying to find the “bug” causing game title text to sit under the art. Turns out there isn’t one? Saw some YouTube videos of the same layout, surely people don’t accept this UI layout?

Is there a theme or UI layout out there that resolves this? Surely there’s a feature something that wraps the game title text so it doesn’t sit under the game art?
