Should I change jobs or stay at my company?
Hello everybody! I wanted to expose a career choice situation to see what you guys think.
I'm a mid Android engineer in a very big and famous consultancy company, based in Spain. I've been here for 3 years, and I'm kinda comfortable. My project has changed and now I'm having more responsibility and workload, but I'm learning quite a lot from this. I think this experience will be valuable if I want to change jobs later. I'd say I'm "pretty secure" here.
Now comes company B. They are offering a good raise, better conditions (on the paper) and it's a product company. Seems like a good and stable company. I'd be starting a new team and codebase with another android dev, being part of an agile team.
What I'm afraid is the short term future of us developers. I know the market is not in it's best moment, and I wouldn't like to change, not pass the probation period (due to market) and being jobless. I also don't know how they are using AI in company B. They told me that they are introducing it slowly, but I think it's important to use it everyday and it being part of your workflow. In my current company we are using it and I'm being up to date on this topic, which is good for the future.
So yeah, what would you do? I'd appreciate opinions, tips, own experiences... Thank you so much in advance!
