Win or lose, Max Verstappen has probably changed the Nürburgring 24 Hours forever says Motor Sport’s Pablo Elizalde
The Red Bull F1 driver’s Mercedes-AMG Team Verstappen Racing car will start from fourth on the grid for the race on Saturday
20 years since Fernando Alonso's first victory in Spain
On May 14, 2006 The circuit was dyed blue and the entire country celebrated the first victory of the Spanish driver on home soil.
Timetable for the 24 hours of Nürburgring
From Thursday onwards, there’s no time to be bored as preparations for the 24 Hours of Nürburgring get underway. 161 teams. Sold out grandstands and Max Verstappen on the grid.
24H of Nürburgring is completely sold out.
The 4x time F1 World Champion is set to compete in the iconic 24Hr of Nurburgring later this month, and the hype surrounding his appearance has already pushed the event to a complete sell-out.

Focusing only on the hard-tyre stint, as the medium stint was too short to draw meaningful conclusions.
Norris, Colapinto, and Antonelli showed the strongest tyre management, with Leclerc close behind.
Verstappen sits in the middle of the chart: not a standout on raw degradation, but still impressive given his hard tyres were 51 laps old by the end of the race.
On the other end, Piastri, Russell, and Hamilton struggled significantly more with tyre wear than their teammates.
Was it due to setup differences, or did their teammates simply find more performance through race management?
Juan Pablo Montoya thinks that Max Verstappen should be banned or have 7-8 penalty points added to his superlicense for criticising the regulations.

Plus the direction is trash from F1
“F1’s a business and they want to protect their business and make it look good, and we’re drivers and we know what it feels like to drive good cars.” F1’s stance on the 2026 rules is that everything is largely ok - something that Lance Stroll strongly disagrees with.
With the Bahrain and Saudi Arabian GPs cancelled this season, I was wondering if there’s any chance F1 might replace them with other races?
I’ve seen some talk about possible alternatives or even rescheduling later in the year, but nothing concrete. Has there been any official discussion from F1 or the FIA about adding replacement races, or is the calendar just staying shorter this year?
Curious what everyone’s heard or thinks about this situation.
