T201 Mail Day

So I messed up a little and bought a card that I already had albeit at a higher grade in SGC 3 and my older card in PSA 2. The SGC 3 is an overall nicer card with no creases or corner dings, better color and more detail in the black and gray shades. Perhaps the plate needed a re-ink by the time it printed the PSA 2 card. The maroon of the sleeves in the PSA 2 is better along with the printing of the name but that seems to be it.

Couple T201 I received last week

I received these last week while away on vacation so I got to open them yesterday.

Couple of fun facts from 1911 when these cards were issued. Chevrolet was founded and construction began on Fenway Park.

T201 Mail Day

Picked up an ungraded T201. Card seemed to be better shape in the pics for the sale posting but I picked it up for a good price that I factored in possibly a lower condition than the pics suggested. I posted my existing collection previously with some tidbits of info so I’ll add a new tidbit to this posting.

These cards were issued in 1911, at the time there were only 46 states in the union. New Mexico, Arizona, Alaska and Hawaii were not yet states at the time.

My T201 Cards

First post to the sub. Picked up a few T201 over the last month. Been collecting since I was young. These are super interesting to me because they’re 115 years old and I’m holding history in my hands. Also unique in their being the first cards with stats.
