Not a tobacco issue but wanted to show off this beauty from the hockey world, widely considered to have been issued by William Patterson Confectionary (cataloged as V145-2). The V145 -1 were issued a year earlier and had wider borders.
Tough, low pop card at the tail end of his illustrious career. He would pass away within two years of the release due to tuberculosis and the Vezina trophy for best goalie each year started in 1927.
Looking for a HOFer, but open to commons like the one in the photo. Not my card.
Poor to good condition, raw or graded, decent eye appeal if possible.
Happy 4th everyone! I’m on the hunt for rare back t206, particularly HOFers. Feel free to shoot me a message I’m always down for a good trade too!
Hi All - Seeking your guidance on what to do with these. I'm not a collector of this vintage. Should I get some, all, none? of these graded? Should I post them in this channel for sale as a lot? eBay? Not sure what to do, or really what I have.
The baseball cards *seem* pretty straightforward, bundle them up into the 1912 C46's, 1911 T205s and 1909 E101 'Set of 50's as lots and go, right? Do I cleave out the Chief Bender? Get it graded? At the very least I know I've gotta find a sleeve for the Patsy.
The 1910 Imperial Hockey C56 Jack Laviolette #21 is clearly in rough shape. Is that AUTH condition? Is it gradable? I have no clue.
As for the 1910 C60 Lacrosse cards, I am truly lost. I don't know who was good, rare, or otherwise. I've got 34 (plus 4 doubles) of the 100 card set. Do I just bundle these in the channel or eBay? Some of them look to be in pretty good condition considering.
I'd appreciate your thoughts. Seeking guidance and clearly indecisive.
Thanks in advance.
These are the last two I need to complete my T210 Jacksonville team set! Any help will be greatly appreciated!
Hellacious miscut but still presents like a beauty!
Finally got the remaining cards to complete the 27 card team set for Brooklyn T206. I’ll be making another post showing all 27 cards(pardon the reflection).
Happy Monday!
Tough to find with a Sovereign back
Tough to find in a high grade!
Pre-ww2 German tobacco card books.. why can't they be sold on ebay? This are historical items. Anyone else have this issue?

When I was about 11 or 12, around 1964, I had an older friend that collected old cards, which was really interesting to me. He was a fan of Eddie Mathews and had lots of his cards.
He also had other unique cards, two of which I wanted badly. One was a Cobb T206, Bat Off Shoulder. The other a Cobb T205. I could only afford one. He wanted 50 cents for the T206 and 75 cents for the T205. I chose the former.
It was a tough call, because I could have bought 10 packs of cards with the same money. At any rate, I gleefully paid, took it home and put it in a plastic holder, which is where it remained until last year.
Unfortunately, I can recall that, much later, I could have purchased a nice Cobb T3 Turkey Red for about $500...not from him, just in general. Hindsight is a savvy investor.
There are still great finds out there. This small collection came from an original owners family on a farm in Ontario. What have you come across unexpectedly??

Hi,
Can anyone tell me some more information on this label please?
