Hi, I was wondering how effective making an appeal to the examination board is? I was rejected from the Economics Masters for not having sufficient maths in my degree (EBE bachelor at the VU) and I wanted to try and appeal the decision. Does anyone have experience with making an appeal? Are they lenient when it comes to appeals or is there something specific they tend to reply to?
I just finished my bachelor of Economics and Business Economics at VU, and I wanted to do my masters at UvA but I was rejected for not having a sufficient level of mathematics in my degree. This seemed quite strange because both universities have basically the same bachelor of Economics and business economics and I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that they're basically equivalent programmes. Did anyone have a similar experience or got into UvA economics masters after doing a bachelor at a different university in the Netherlands. Is is worth trying to make an appeal, does anyone have experience with making an appeal?
