Quality of SQ
Recently had the chance to fly with Emirates, Qatar and some other airlines.
Living in Singapore, i am still happy with Singapore Airlines but despite increasing prices the quality seems to be deteriorating.
- airplanes: they seem to be aging badly and they are not upgrading anything. Toilets are old, in flight entertainment is getting old, no bluetooth support, slow screens, dirty pillows etc etc
- food: getting worse every time i fly and i fly SQ 2-3 times a month. Don’t get me started on the short haul carton box food.
- wifi: inconsistent, slow and painful. After seeing many airlines providing starlink, i am not sure what took SQ so long. It shouldn’t be the money as the fares are crazy expensive and profits are great.
Thankfully the crew and service quality is still top notch. But i feel SQ got a bit too complacent as there is no real competition.
