Burn out

I've been at my agency for a year and a half. I enjoyed the job but now I'm so burnt out that I'm making mistakes. I'm so stressed out all the time.

I know this job isn't for everyone. But it's frustrating because I enjoyed it and now I don't. I enjoy some aspects. Ironically I like dispatching the most despite starting because I wanted to be a calltaker the most. But it takes so much out of me.

I'm looking for a new job but I have to stay until I find something new because money you know? I make the most out of everyone in my household as one roommate is laid off and looking for employment. I also want to stay with the city I'm in because of benefits.

I'm just ranting because I fucked up again today at work and I'm waiting to get called in to the office. Thanks for reading.

Edit: It sucks that so many people are in the same boat as me. This industry takes a lot out of you. My DMs are always open for anyone who is struggling. I can't always offer advice but I'm good at listening and I'm also reallllly good at getting mad on your behalf lol. I'll fight someone if I have to. Thanks to everyone who commented and made me feel not alone.

Need a little to get by until check clears

This is so embarrassing. So I received a check with a large sum of money after a family member passed with no estate so I got a portion of it. The bank said it put a hold on it because I had a new account (recently switched banks) and because it was a large amount. Originally they said it's clear on the 6th and now it says the 11th.

I have my portion of rent due and I have enough to cover it but not enough to be able to pay for gas, etc until the check goes through and I have to go out of town on Tuesday. I'm kind of panicking and I don't have any family who can lend money. We've been really struggling with money this year and I was so excited to have this money so I could finally breathe. So this entire situation is taking a toll on me.

I really need like $500 but honestly I'll take anything

I understand if no one can help. And I appreciate everyone reading this.

Desk and weights for sale

Hello! My roommates and I are trying to get rid of a few things.

The desk is an art easel/desk. It moves into an easel position. My roommate is wanting $100.

My weights are Bowflex. Hardly been used. I think they've been used exactly twice. I got them with the intent to exercise and it did not happen. I'm hoping for $200.

Bisexual vs. Lesbian

This is just a long rant that I need to get out.

So last month I saw a TikTok where a lesbian was complaining about how when gay guys talk about loving a female celebrity or fictional character no one asks if they're bi but when lesbians like male characters or celebrities they get questioned and I resonated so hard with it. Then I opened the comments. And all of them were like "it's okay to be bi". And it really pissed me off.

I identified as bisexual from ages 14-25 when I first realized I liked women. Then last year I came to the realization that I don't like men. The reason it took me so long was because I found celebrities and fictional characters attractive. I love Bucky Barnes and Steve Harrington. I get butterflies in my stomach when I think of Joe Keery. I still don't like men.

I agree that sometimes it's biphobia that make people not want to label themselves as bi. But to say that lesbians who fantasize about male characters/celebrities are actually bisexual is not true. I can imagine Steve Harrington railing me ten ways to Tuesday but guess what? Every time I dated and slept with men, I did not feel anything. For the longest time I thought I was asexual because men did not do it for me.

And I truly think a lot of the issue is rooted in transphobia. Dick does not equal men. I thought I liked men because I liked dick. But trans women and nonbinary people can have dicks.

Anyway sorry for the long rant. I just got pissed off remembering it.
