Anyone else has phone bluetooth connection problems?

Bought a used 2024 Model 3 a couple weeks ago from official tesla in CA. Bluetooth has been very unstable. Frequently have to restart the bluetooth on my phone in order to connect to phone audio with the car.

The audiobook is atrocious

Trying to consume the book thru listening while driving and the audiobook is just atrocious.

It could’ve been great if they just let the narrator or read in silence, but they had to add in stupid sound effects of scary movies to completely ruin it

I was startled by the loud dog barking in the beginning chapter. It was completely unnecessary and extremely annoying

I’m not listening tot the book to be entertained, I’m trying to download the knowledge to my mind with the least friction possible.

Phone audio fails to connect every time

Just bought a 2024 Model 3. I have an iPhone 12.

The phone key paired no problem, and remained so.

But the phone audio (separate pairing) always has problems.

Every time I enter the car, it would not auto-connect. And when I manually click on “connect” it would display a connection failed window.

It succeeds only after I restart the Bluetooth of my phone. This happens every time, not a one time thing. So every time I enter the car I have to restart my phone Bluetooth.

What I’ve tried:
- restart my phone
- reinstall tesla app
- restart model 3 screen (holding down two balls)

None worked as a permanent solution. The problem always comes back there next time I enter the car.

I recently drove a 2023 model 3 rental for a few days and this problem never happened, nor did it ever happen with all the Tesla rentals I drove in the past.

Auto-connecting with phone is a huge QoL feature and having jt stay broken is frustrating.
