I just started using 20% vitamin C + E Ferulic Acid Serum for one week and my skin is not loving it. My skin gets red and irritated even after I apply moisturizer after.

I think I made a mistake by using vitamin c in high concentration. I just wanted my dark spots to disappear quickly.

If you guys have any gentler recommendation of vitamin C that is effective, it would be much appreciated.

For context, I'm in my late 30s, have super sensitive skin, and most of the marks are around my cheeks and jaw.
