Options for family member to experience podcasts

My dad is severely hard of hearing, even with hearing aids/cochlear implant. He's an avid reader and really enjoys American and world history. Another reddit thread made me think he'd really love the Hardcore History podcast by Dan Carlin.

I will say that he can generally get by with TV, etc if it's on Bluetooth to his hearing devices, so maybe that would work ok from his phone or PC?

If anyone has suggestions, I'd sure appreciate it. Also - if you have a cochlear implant, have you been able to get music to sound right? That has really made a huge negative impact in his quality of life.

Salsa de molcajete from the little garden that could

Quick roasted salsa to go with chicken quesadillas for dinner. Everything from the garden except the lime, chicken powder, salt and black pepper. Even the bolted cilantro, lol.

My wife liked it - after I added two more good sized roma tomatoes. What can I say, I like it spicy. I am absolutely loving my chili pequin plants right now.

I just eyeball all the amounts, so sorry for no detailed recipe.

Edit: I should have read the rules better. Here's a recipe that should get you close.

1lb tomatoes - I used Roma and San Marzano

1/2 a small onion

1 jalapeno

10-12 chili pequin

4 cloves garlic

1/2 Tb salt

1/2 tsp cumin

1/2 tsp knorr chicken powder

1/2 tsp coarse ground black pepper

1/3 cup chopped cilantro

1/2 lime

Roast the tomatoes, jalapeno, onion and garlic (in the skin) under the broiler to char.

Add the salt, garlic and raw pequin to the molcajete and mash. Chop the onion and jalapeno roughly and mash. Add the tomatoes, cumin, chicken powder and pepper - mash. Squeeze that lime and add the cilantro (bonus if it's old and bolted like mine. The flowers taste good, too!).

Adjust seasoning and enjoy.

Favorite "value" LPK?

I picked up a few lowers and want to get them in condition to slap uppers on. What's your go to LPK that won't break the bank? No grip needed, as I will probably pick different ones depending on the use case.

Delayed

My new gat showed up at the FFL today. Went down this afternoon to pick it up, and got delayed for the first time ever. Super lame! Especially since all of the relevant agencies have plenty of my info for job reasons, etc. I'm guessing they're pretty backed up and will continue to be for the next month.

No real contribution I guess, I'm just ranting because I wanted to play with my new toy.

Shout out to Atlantic Firearms

I ordered an AP5-P at like 9 PM Tuesday night. Here it is Friday morning, and it's out for delivery to my FFL! Hopefully they get it checked in and I can pick it up this afternoon.
