[US - MD] Leak in apartment and water damage - am I being unreasonable?

On 8/10 a substantial amount of water water began coming out of our basement ceiling. It took us 3 days of pestering property management to get maintenance to fix it - it turns out the condensate line to the AC was clogged. Eventually, maintenance came in, fixed the leak, and patched over the damaged area of the basement ceiling.

The same day, we noticed that the hardwood floor the level above where the basement leak happened was buckling and soft. We requested maintenance to come and remediate. Management has said a contractor would come on four seperate occasions but no one has come. The area of the floor that has been affected has grown over the 8 days since the leak, causing more deformity and softness due to water trapped underneath. Last night, we observed water seeping out of the floor seams. Finally, after promising someone today (no one appeared), property management appears to have scheduled someone for Thursday.

Given the number of times PM has failed to schedule someone or do repairs in a timely way, my roommates and I have grown worried. Today, I had a terse call with management about the water damage and requested repairs immediately. I cited the possibilty of mold and the chance we could escalate to tenant landlord affairs if a resolution wasn't met soon. Was I unreasonable to do this? What is the expected timeline for these sorts of repairs? Thank you.

seeking advice - 2 weeks in europe, 1 personal item

HEY EVERYONE! Long time lurker, first time poster! I am headed to Europe for two weeks next month, traveling via budget airlines and train. Although I have one bagged before, I have only done so on shorter trips (ex. 3-4 days).

most of the items i will be packing. clothes in thule clean/dirty cube, underwear in small compression cube

Here is my tentative pack - although I think everything fits right now with a little room, it ain't much room and that makes me nervous. Full list and weights here: https://lighterpack.com/r/a2gher

Specifically, looking for advice on:

  • Where I can cut back or where I'm overpacking
  • If there's anything important I'm missing
  • Recommendations for good lightweight rain coats/jackets

Some considerations:

  • I sustained knee injuries last year, and my knees aren't in top shape, but well enough to carry a personal item so maybe this works out in my favor.
  • I'm due to start my extremely heavy period at the beginning of the trip, so swimming is out of the question LOL

Electronics: ipad, ipad keyboard, earbuds, iphone, electric tooth brush, chargers, adapter

Clothing - I'll be visiting countries with a wide array of climates (hot dry southern Europe vs cold rainy nordic) and expect temperatures to be between 55-90 F/ 13-32 C, so tried to go heavy on the layering. All unworn clothing goes in the medium cube, heaviest clothing items will be worn when traveling. I will fortunately be staying in accomodations with laundry access throughout the trip.

  • 6 pairs of underwear, 2 bralettes, 3-4 pairs of socks
  • 2 tanks with shelf bras
  • Dressy tank for slightly elevated occasions
  • Black hokas to instantly negate the dressiness of the tank (my only pair of shoes)
  • Gym shorts, cotton capris, linen pants, and a lighter denim pant
  • Gauze cotton and wool layers for warmth
  • Short sleeved shirt
  • Lightweight cotton pajama pants. TBH these take up quite a bit of room.
  • Rain jacket - still have yet to secure this. I've gone my whole life without one, much to the dismay of everyone around me. Might be good to actually have one.

Other stuff: Mr Penguin, travel journal, hat, makeup (barely any) uniqlo sling bag.

At 39 x 25 x 14 cm the Timbuk2 Spirit should be personal item sized, but IDK if it will still be when I have everything in it. Anyways, here are the views from the front and side. There is a little wiggle room for squeezin in a couple of souvenirs. All together the pack comes in to a bit under 4 kg.

Thank you in advance for your feedback! 😄 If i am successful I'm sure I'll give a lengthy post trip writeup.

EDIT: THANK YOU FOR ALL OF YOUR ADVICE SO FAR!!! It is all very insightful - glad I'm figuring this a month out instead of much closer to. Will incorporate what I can!
