My first long ride on the XSR 155

I bought the bike on the 18th April. Now, due to the assembly election in West Bengal, processing and generation of the number plate took about a month. So, I couldn't find much time to ride the bike.

Now, the first service is in one month and I wanted to run it close to 800km at least before going for the first service.

With all these in mind, I was looking a place to ride about 300km a day and this place fits the plan perfectly.

Pathra is about 140-145 km from Kolkata. It is located on the banks of the Kangshabati river. There were multiple temples, built by Majumdar and Banerjee families who were revenue collectors for Nawabs.

Most of the temples are in bad conditions. Now these have been taken over by the ASI. But these are free to enter and you rarely will find any guide here. Apart from the temples, there is a park on the banks of the river.

Since the temperature is on the rise, we started at 6, had one or two chai stops and reached the village by around 10. Stayed there for a couple of hours, skipped boating and returned back home after a long lunch break by 6 pm in the evening.

The progress was slow since I was in the break in period. My average speed was 70-75kph and for once, reached 100kph+ speed. On the console, mileage showed about 52kpl. My not so young back took a beating though after the 300km round trip.
