Every once in a while I run a Market Finds post of cars worth clustering together. I was researching a potential special edition run of Mk1 / 8N Audi UK TT Roadsters for the archive project on my site and ran across these four for sale on the same classic car site. So, I did a story linked here (ooooIYKYK.com). The greater question though is that I need to identify the two roadsters with Recaro Pole Positions.

You see two of them in this story. One is "Grey Pearl" that is likely Nimbus Grey Pearl over red leather and the other is Avus Silver (same as TT ALMS) with purple (likely Velvet Purple) leather that is super unique. Both list them as part of a 1 of 57 run of cars that were a special edition. I reached out to one TT specialist in the UK who is familiar with the grey car and believes he is aware of the 57 run. He told me that some were silver and some were grey. I also reached out to a now retired contact from the Audi UK PR department who was there in period and is highly knowledgable and he wasn't familiar, so he reached out to another colleague at that time who also wasn't familiar. So, I'm on a search to find out more about that run if possible. Anyone know anything about it?

GP was done this morning so this is a little late. Sorry. This report includes all the qualifying numbers and photos from the team up through this afternoon. As of my work this evening, we didn't yet have full GP photos so I'll get that up sometime tomorrow. In the meantime, F1 had some interesting insight form Gabi on what happened during qualifying so that influenced my race report, which also includes a link to the F1 piece along with the usual official team comments. I love it when rabbit holes happen. Earlier this week I shared an Audi Archives entry I'd made of a black Sport quattro restored by quattro GmbH back in 2000. A commenter on one of the Audi history facebook groups pointed out that it wasn't the only one. My own source at quattro GmbH back when I'd first learned of the car had mentioned Aga Khan (the client) and a second car that he'd had no further details on other than it was blue so I didn't mention it. One of the commenters in that group posted photos, complete with identical wheels to what was on the black car when it hit the market in 2011. From that I was able to generate a post on the second car, not as detailed as the first but pretty close. It's more wild, with a distinctive blue paint and two-tone blue and cream interior. Back in 1998 a wealthy client approached quattro GmbH about augmenting the Audi Sport quattro. About the same time they released the B5 RS 4 as their first house-built RS car, they also delivered the finished product. I did a story on this car back in 2011 when it first hit the market. I've just updated all that with new renderings because the 2011 pics weren't all that great and didn't have the original wheels. I have a 2003 Audi TT Roadster in Nogaro Blue that I've been running on my website ooooIYKYK.com and while that's all grounded in reality, I found myself goofing around with Midjourney over the weekend and asking for a TT Mk1 Roadster transformer in Nogaro Blue to be my car. It got pretty close, with TT Mk1 bodywork clear on the front though the blue was off. Photoshop got me the rest of the way, adding my car's 18-inch ALMS/S line wheels to the tires and correcting that blue to Nogaro.

I figured I'd share while my car is in for timing belt service and I can't drive it. I will be running the next installment story on finding those wheels on Facebook Marketplace, refinishing them and adding new tires later this week.

Hi everyone. I'm George Achorn, a journalist who's been covering Audi for a long time via Fourtitude, Audi Club North America's quattro Magazine and now ooooIYKYK.com. Part of my coverage has always been motorsport and I've matched up my cadence as best I can with Audi Revolut F1. They typically drop a Preview, Friday, Saturday and Sunday mix of images and info including quotes from the team, while other information can be gleaned from watching the other news sources and adding in the relevant race data - top 10 finishers plus Gabi and Nico results if they're outside the top 10.

Beyond that, there's also been the off track news like the RS 5 Pirelli Hot Laps cars, Canadian GP's Rue 26 Audi event, the Nuvolari reveal at Monaco, Monza's Fuori Concourso and Nuvolari/Auto Union Type D displays, and this week's motorsport installation by Audi Spain.

Beyond that, I also aggregate video and podcast content on the site, meaning if The Race of LAWVS or other players cover Audi F1 or interview key players, they'll also go into my feed.

I do my best to cover it all. All that said, I'm new on here and don't want to spam with every Audi F1 bit of content, but if it's okay I'll post my link to the relevant GP on race weeks using the tag system on my site so you can get the news relevant to that race.
