I am new to dnd but planing to GM a game for friends. Do you have any advice?

As the title says, I'm extremely new to dnd. I've never really played it before, though I have dabbled in other TTRPGs such as Monster of the Week and Call of Cthulhu (which are honestly very different from dnd). It's been tough to find a proper dnd group where I am, so I decided i might as well try to GM for some friends so we can all try DND (they are also new).

Do you have any advice for me on how to avoid making the game overwhelming for other new players or me?

Recliner leaning left when in recline position

My recliner is leaning to the left when used. I turned it around to look at it and I’m not sure what’s wrong, I thinkkk it could be the springs so I’ve attached a photo. Can anyone help me figure out what’s wrong?

Shower makes a hollow echoing sound for ages after use

I just moved into a new apartment and my shower is making this high pitched hollow sound after my shower. It’s been going on for atleast 20 mins since my shower and it’s driving me slightly insane. I’ve added a video to show the noise. Idk where it’s coming from. Can someone please help me figure out why ifs happening and maybe what I can do to stop it?
