GH Bass Larson Weejun - cooked or saveable?

Hey guys,

I got these Weejuns secondhand for a great price to try out loafers and have been wearing them near daily. Safe to say I'm hooked. However the right hand heel is beginning to disintegrate. Anyone have experience resoling these? Wondering if it's worth my time to find a cobbler or if these are beyond repair.

Loafers: Is "anyone can" = "everyone should"?

Hey y'all,

I'll start by saying that yes, I WAS influenced by you lot, and also my favorite style pages on Instagram. I have been loafer-curious all summer, and I recently started a new job in a business casual office. This was a good enough excuse to me to finally pull the trigger on some cheap/used G.H. Bass Weejuns I found online.

I am by no means a small guy. I come in at 6'3, 250lbs. I enjoy working out, but I'm no stranger to a slice of pizza and a pint of beer. This has resulted in me acquiring some larger than average buttocks and thighs. Pictured above, I am wearing a pair of Naked & Famous Strong Guy denim. I have absolutely fallen in love with this pair as the fuller cut has been just what I've been wanting after years of trying to wedge myself into stretchy plastic denim and ball crushing pants.

This is where my doubts begin to creep in. Am I simply too big to wear dainty little loafers? I love these Weejuns - Oxblood is a gorgeous color and they pair well with just about everything in my wardrobe at the moment (from a color standpoint). I'm just a little self conscious about how my watermelon crushers make them look.

Any other big boys out there rocking loafers this fall? Let's see some pics!

Anxiously awaiting the cooler weather

Button up: Jos A Bank

Tee: Bronson

Jeans: Naked & Famous

Belt: Unknown (acquired for a wedding years ago from Amazon)

Boots: Jim Green (in desperate need of oiling)

Watch: Citizen BM8560-53E

First fit pic here, feel free to leave your feedback! I just got these N&F Strong Guy "Harionago" selvedge jeans ~12 days ago, so still working on getting in some fades. But I love the way they fit after 1 wash! The shirt is new, too - picked up at Jos A Bank clearance yesterday.

Big guy trying to embrace a more classic silhouette

Hey all, long time lurker first time poster.

I started a new job last week, and it's a business casual environment. I'm taking the fresh start as an opportunity to try and dress for my body and lean into some vintage/classic tailoring inspiration. I picked up these vintage '80s Banana Republic wool trousers and they seem to fit me well after I did some DIY hemming. For reference, I am 6'3 & 250lb. I wanted to go with a vintage, higher rise, straighter leg trouser to start with as I've got larger quads/glutes and some beer belly as well as a broader torso and shoulders. I feel the details of the pants (pleats, the way they drape, the high rise, etc) balance my proportions pretty well. Let me know what you think! I know not everyone is into the higher rise but I personally am enjoying it.

Thanks!
