(Spoilers Main) Where are the ravens leaving the Twins going?

When Robb and his army reach The Twins, headed south, The Blackfish places archers to shoot down any ravens that leave the castle.

Which begs the questions to where and to whom were those ravens going?

The most likely conclusion and the one that Cat comes to is that Walder Frey is sending news to Tywin or Jamie Lannister about Robb's army.

If I'm being completely optimistic, Walder Frey is sending messages to his people to tell them to raise their men and wait for more news. That's unlikely since he already has 4,000 men in the castle according to one of the scouts.

Also it's a good thing the rookery is on the east side of the river and not the castle on the opposite bank.

Did anyone's interest with the Revolutionary War start with Liberty's Kids?

I had this show on DVD growing up, now it's on YouTube for free. There are some major actors playing different characters in this show.

This is also the reason I know the Spanish were part of the War.

I like this show so much!

Today the Crossing of the Douro happened, which takes place in Sharpe's Havoc

This book is a test of Sharpe's leadership early on as one of his worst soldiers defects to the enemy. Also the crossing of the Douro River by the British Army is pretty epic.

Grant's journey east to take command of all Unions forces

Are there any good descriptions around Grant's journey east to command of all union forces? Who did he bring with him? Was it by train?

I feel like it's a really interesting journey, I'd love to know what people said about it. In most stories it's just he gets taped for the job by Lincoln and then he's just back east.

The second day of this battle took place on May 4th 1811. The first day was May 3rd and the last day was May 5th.

The second day saw very little fighting.

This book also happens be to one of my favorite in the series. I think Lupe is one of the better villains in both the show and books. Plus there's a character that shows up from Sharpe's past that always puts a smile on my face.

I feel like we don't know a whole lot about them personally, but they're probably the group of bannermen we spend the most amount of time with besides the Riverlanders.

In one of the chapters one of the Stark kids talks about visiting all different Northern Houses with Ned and I would read an entire series about that.
