I have a problem

I've not been able to sustain interest in roleplays even though I keep asking for long term partners.

I think the main thing is because I want a creative partner who doesn't rely on me to lead all the time, and the last time I had that was years agooo.
Everyone since has been so passive, relies on me to create the cast, or lead the plot, or lead the story.

And I don't know a nice way to tell someone "stop being so passive" or if that's a fair expectation— to ask them to be more creative. So I come up with an excuse to drop them.

Most partners have lasted weeks, a few up to 2 months, but ever since I lost that one person who was able to be creative and take the lead with me and surprise me and do cool things that genuinely brought me so much joy to read, it's hard to get into any other roleplay where I'm doing most— or usually: ALL— of the heavy lifting.

I miss having a stable roleplay partner + friend I like 😭
I just can’t get into new roleplays because of it.

It’s just been a cycle of me getting excited about an rp,
The ooc being nonexistent,
People being busy when I explicitly asked for a few responses a week at least,
People going on vacations, getting sick, disappearing after one week of rp.

I understand life is busyyy.
I just used to have rp partners where we could yap ooc every week and get excited over our rp’s and we’d push each other to be better writers and I’d get so excited to write every post.

Here are my “Ones Who Got Away”-

2 months back
I found someone so incredibly cool in a group server that I followed them out of the server and left the group roleplay when they did. They invited me to another group roleplay, which didn’t work out as I got overwhelmed one week in because of the sheer amount of lore I was behind on and couldn’t get into.
I read through it all as best as I could, but I wasn’t interested in anyone else there besides the one person I wanted to write with.
Sooo
I left the server
The person didn’t seem too interested in continuing to rp with me, so that was that.

3 months back
I had this rp partner for 5 months.
Then I found out the whole time they were heavily depending on AI to write and edit their posts, without telling me.
I was sooo obsessed with this rp for the entire duration of our time together and wow. It was a blow. I cried because that’s just the type of dramatic person I am 🤣

4 months back
This rp partner and I wrote for 2 years. We roleplayed on and off. I loved their writing so so so much. I learned a lot. I was always excited to rp.
But things were kinda complicated ooc, and because of personal concerns, I had to drop them.

2-3 years back
I had an rp partner on and off for multiple years but every time we roleplayed, we were both obsessed with our story for months.
Over time, they lost interest in me and that was that.

I miss all of them.
I’m tired of talking to strangers on the internet. I know it takes time for new friendships to develop but 😭

Looking for a collaborative fantasy RP partner who enjoys character development, worldbuilding, adventure, action, conflict, friendships, and long-term plots.

Emphasis on collaborative. Please be able to lead the plot and expand on the cast when needed. Be able to brainstorm and come up with creative ideas and be able to gush ooc.

Requirements:

• Able to reply a few times per week

I do not:
- want to write MxF. I’m most comfortable with MxM
