Built my own floor to sit desk on wheels
Been working on the flor with my laptop for a few years but never had a proper setup. I have a small apartment so space is tight and hated having a big monitor on my kitchen table . Could not find anything on the market so me and ChatGPT designed this .
Cost me about $250-300 in total. It has wheels and tucks away pretty nicely. So far it been way better than I even thought super comfy on the floor with the keyboard tray. With the remote I can easily adjust to sit goes all they way down to 9”either in a chair , my stool , or even edge of my sofa
Right now the top is temporary melamine top. thinking I can cut it down a bit then I’ll get a nice walnut top to match my furniture.
Features : full sit 36” high to 9” low, remote control and controller . 330lbs capacity (base ), wheels that lock in place , keyboard tray .
If I wanted to get really fancy I’m sure you could add a big battery pack so it would not need to be plugged in or add a monitor arm, or dual monitors .
Just put a deposit on my first miata!

Frankie is 11 and still like a puppy, what should I do at this stage to keep her like that ?
People are always thinking she’s a puppy and amazed when I tell them her age . Any tips to help at the later stages ? I know people go on about food but I feed her Costco the same amount twice a day. Only other she eats (aside from random crap on the street when I’m not looking ) is vegetable scraps (she a garbage disposal).
She lives a stress free life of lounging and long walks. She still runs around and get excited and full of life. She loves her rope toy and the teeth she has left (bottom little ones fell out ) are nice and clean .
So found this one I love the color and it’s similar to the other SC one I posted that I passed on (glad I passed on it), this one
This one has the FM cosworth SC kit (not kraftwerks) which I heard is amazing and reliable? Also has all the mods I’d buy to do (I don’t wrench and getting stuff in Canada is a pain)
I also spoke to the dave from daves garage who built it and he was gushing over the Sc and the build saying he knew the owners and all the parts that are on it as well thought of .
What do you guys think? I’m planning to go drive 5 hours out to check it out in person.
A white stock one is here locally for $14,500 cad this one is $11k cad more and has a lot of stuff I would do already?
