What’s the story with the cars?

Was running the Edale skyline this morning and came across these destroyed cars, a turned over black cab and a burned out range? Anyone know the story with how these got there?

Snapped Seat post Screw

Yesterday on my way home from work I heard a snap and my seat post slid all the way down the frame. When I got home I discovered that the seat post screw on the right had fully sheared off at the head. Now the screw shaft is stuck inside the frame.

Bike is still under warranty for 2 more weeks. 1200 miles in total on the bike, and until now it’s been pretty good to me. One flat tire early on, and one issue with a slipping belt drive due to low tension, but other than that no issues (minus the occasional connectivity and laggy stuff).

I’ve submitted a ticket to cowboy support, but knowing their reputation these days I’m not expecting a quick response. Use the bike pretty much daily for my commute in London, so feeling very immobile all of the sudden without it.

Anyone had a similar experience? Was it an easy fix or complex one?

I’m hoping whatever it’s drilled into can be replaced new, because if it’s into the frame itself it’s going to have be drilled out, and that will be pretty techy I think given the awkward position of it.

UPDATE
I was able to get out the old screw with a pair of heavy duty tweezers, even without removing the battery connector. Thank you to the suggestions on this thread!!

Cowboy got back to me saying it would be covered under warranty, but the authorized repair center wouldn’t touch it till I had the parts. Which Cowboy said the couldn’t deliver till August!

All for a simple hex machine screw… craziness.

Replacement hex screws arrive tomorrow and should be done with it!
