Aftermath
Did I see the deer?
Did I not see the road curve?
Did I see the car?
Did I see the deer?
Did I not see the road curve?
Did I see the car?
Did I see the deer?
Did I not see the road curve?
Did I see the car?

Moon lander impacts
Pilot groans – bladder says “Hi!”
One small wait for man

I send my Haiku
Into the digital void
Silence is assured

I touch her soft cheek
A caress with fingertips –
Tracing morning tears

I look up at the Moon.
Strangely, I don't hear anything.
It's clearly there, but not making a sound.
Chilling.
I kissed the Moon once.
Its grit sticking to my lips.
It tasted like an exploding cigar.
Of ashes and atonement.
I won't do that again.
I have enough to atone for already.
Mourning Moon –
Paywall
I went to the corner store to get the paper,
When I didn't have a dime.
Now the paper costs a quarter.
I pay the price for words anyway —how cheap.
No wonder poets don't make money.
I remember when the paywall was a money box.
I either bought the paper or I didn't—simple as that.
I knew where I stood.
Money or lack of it meant ignorance either way.
Not like I had a choice.
Oh, Magic Eightball
Reveal my destiny!
Ask again later

We shout at the wind
Useless words have their effect
We all hear – nothing
