Folks who delivered vaginally, what was the time between one baby's delivery and the next like?

I'm not sure if I'll be able to have a vaginal delivery (baby A was breech at my 28 week scan) but I'm still doing my best to prepare for both eventualities. But so many of the birth stories I hear are about one baby, of course, and so that moment where the baby is born is also, in many ways, the end of labor. Of course there is the placenta and post partum medical stuff, but ... It is more the end than if you have a second baby coming! So for anybody who had a vaginal delivery of both twins, what was that moment of overwhelm/joy/connection/dissociation like given that you knew you were about to do it again? How long was it between the birth of twin a and the pushing phase for twin b? If you've had a singleton vaginally, how did it compare? These will be my first babies, so I don't have a point of comparison, but I'm trying to understand how my experience will be similar or not to the birth stories I hear!

Sci Fi or fantasy with themes of parenthood

Hi all! I'd love some sci fi or fantasy reccs where parenthood is a central theme, especially pregancy, post partum, or early childhood. Becky Chamber's The Galaxy and the Ground Within is a perfect example, and The Adventures of Amina Al-Sirafi by Shannon Chakranbory looks like it would be too but I'm trying not to start an unfinished series. I'm pretty open to genre, so long as it is fiction, but aiming for sci fi and fantasy. Thank you!

Twin Boys - Lysander and Adrien?

Hi all! We're having fraternal twin boys and our goal has always been to have two very different names with rhyming nicknames we can use when they're young. I posted about that a few months back and got amazing suggestions! Since then we've also wanted to have some theme of liberation to the names, which has brought us to Lysander and Adrien (Lin and Rin). For the record, Adrien is liberatory in our minds because it is the name of an author we love - I know the name itself doesn't have inherent liberatory meaning. But now I'm worried that Adrien is a pretty common name and Lysander is less so and that feels unbalanced. What do you think? Also, if you have other liberation themed boy names, especially in pairs you like, let me know!

Positive or hopeful vaginal delivery stories?

Hello all! I'm currently 24 weeks pregnant with di/di twins and have been loosely hoping for a vaginal delivery. I finally talked to my OB about my options and she is really open to it, so long as twin A is head down and twin B isnt "significantly" bigger - twin Bs position doesn't matter to them! I was super excited to hear that, but I think it made the concept of vaginally delivering twins more real than it has felt and.... It's feeling really scary now. Especially because most of the stories I've heard are either traumatic or c-sections. I don't at all mean to silence those stories, because they've been amazingly helpful too & definitely deserve to be shared! But I'm wondering if anybody could share some uncomplicated (is that even possible??) or otherwise generally positive vaginal twin delivery stories? It doesn't have to be all roses, I'm sure every delivery has its moments of fear, but any wisdom you have would be appreciated!!

edit to add - this is my first pregnancy, so stories from other first deliveries would be especially appreciated!!

Pregnant & looking for fiction about parenthood, pregnancy, or kids!

Hi all! I'm a huge reader but can't think about anything but parenthood, babies, or parenthood at the moment 😅 so I'm looking for fiction books with that theme. They don't have to be positive, horror is totally fine (pregnancy DOES just beg to be described in body horror terms!) although if you suggest a book with miscarriage especially graphic miscarriage just let me know. Positive is great too, the only thing I don't want is anything too saccharine - I'm interested in the complexities of this experience. Oh, and I'm having twins so bonus if the book has twins!!

Some books I've read in this theme

- The Galaxy and the Ground Within by Becky Chambers (big favorite, but I think I've read all of her books now)

- Yesteryear

- Red at the Bone (wasn't my favorite just for the lack of plot, but well written so still enjoyed!)

- A School for Good Mothers

- Witchcraft for Wayward Girls
