Digimon story time stranger SWEEP!
Digimon is selling pretty damn well on the US switch 2 eShop! Better than I expected honestly. Granted, it's not like it has massive competition this week, but it's still pretty impressive

With the news that Playstation is ending physical discs, Bandai namco relying mostly on game key cards, and the next Xbox supposedly not including a disc drive either, it seems like Time stranger might be the last time we get a full physical Digimon game. It's a sad state of affairs, but it's just how things are right now. At least the final physical release is an awesome one. Here's hoping some miracle happens somewhere in the future and physical games come back
If it hadn't been a game key card I could simply buy the game normally at a store but I have a strict policy when it comes to game key cards. Only ever buy used ones.
If you're interested in getting it and are a PC gamer, now is a pretty good time
They're adding terriermon assistant as a playable Digimon and it will even be "rideable". Though instead of it carrying you, you will carry it on your shoulder.
...Is that it got rid of the funny DS pun that the original title had.
Back then there was a trend of videogames on Nintendo DS having a title or subtitles that got abbreviated as "DS"
Shin Megami tensei: devil survivor
Resident evil: deadly silence
Dig Dug: digging strike
Digimon story basically did that for the whole title, and that gets lost in the localization. And that kinda sucks
It didn't fully click before, but Espimon and Chiropmon share lots of similarities and at the same time counter each other extremely well. Both their lines specialize in stealth and gathering Intel. Both have ultimate forms that are based on aircraft with satellites(or spacecraft if you want to be picky with Oblivimon).
And in terms of capabilities it's interesting because HoverEspimon technically speaking has the superior stealth capabilities compared to NightChiropmon, being able to turn invisible and survey a much wider array of areas, including underwater. However, NightChiropmon has greater enemy detection in ways that counter HoverEspimon almost perfectly, being able to use echo location and paralyzing its targets.
They even work for opposing teams, with Espimon being associated with the Crack Team and Chiropmon with the D-Brigade
The store page got some updated pictures to replace the ones it had, and here we see all the digieggs that will be available at the beginning. Between the adventure and tamers eggs, there's a full row, with veemon's eggs and 3 more. These are most likely the rest of the 02 eggs. We already know that Wormmon is in the game in some way, and they've been promoting 02 on the YouTube page. So it looks like we're getting the first three series as a start.
Welp, Lazarus took the spot for best original anime at the Crunchyroll awards. As someone who hasn't watched it, I'm not gonna hate on it like I've seen some other people do. But Digimon Beatbreak won in my heart, and it even getting nominated is already a sign of Digimon getting more respect in recent years. Let's hope we keep up the momentum for when the next digimon anime comes out in like... 2028
The buttons at the bottom of the video just... Disappear. This has been a consistent problem lately. Is it happening to anyone else?
This game got a fan translation today. If you have any way to access an official copy, I recommend it to get some Yokai watch-like experience. The mascot Digimon even vaguely look like Jibanyan. It's very cheap on sites like buyer or fromjapan too. We know level 5 won't be giving us something substantial in quite a while so, might as well try this one out.
The game is called Digimon Universe: Applimonsters
It looks like Time stranger got a lot of people curious, since this means in around a year cyber sleuth sold around 500k additional copies!
Lately it feels like anime sites have stopped hosting older series. I can't find any of the old Digimon anime, just Beatbreak, or any of the gegege no kitaro series anywhere. Not even gogoanime, which used to have them. Now it feels like they only host current stuff.
Can someone help me?
We're getting news tomorrow. Probably not a release date, but very likely some gameplay
