I have had so much fun making full art lands like this one! This alter is watercolor paint on a magic card. It takes a lot of patience, a lot of layers, and a thick base coat of watercolor ground. Still working on getting the surface fully smooth, but very happy with how these have turned out and the pringling is not as bad as you might think!
Is it just me or does it feel like they really shrunk down artist alley. is it just because it got flipped around that it looks smaller than it has in year previous? my favorite part of anime expo IS the artist alley, but it feels so much more condensed. also omg ive never had to move through such a tightly packed group of people before. they aisles feel slightly wider this year but the foot traffic is still so heavy.
I have been getting back into traditional painting with watercolors and I am wondering what people use to prime their cards for alters. I want to give acrylic markers a shot but I am wondering, are people just painting straight onto the cards, do you guys prime with watercolor ground, etc. What do you use to set the final art piece? I would appreciate any and all advice, including what paints and products people prefer to use!
Also, I have noticed that the quality of card stock wotc has been using is really varied from print to print. Has that caused any noticeable issues when altering?

My mom and I listen to the boys together and I was showing her the new merch. I opened the one of Isaiah's lips and there's a photo of him wearing the shirt. My mom then laughs at him and says that the photo makes his forehead look massive, like a bobble head.
You could play tik tak toe on that massive playmat hes rockin on the dome.
