Is Tony Soprano the epitome of masculinity, or the ultimate representation of what it means to 'be a man"?

I often see posts, videos, and edits where men admire Tony Soprano or admit wanting to be like him and also comments from women who find him quite attractive. Most of the time, they're referring more to the actor than to the character himself, but I think it still applies. I've even seen women who are in the process of transitioning to men, and Tony Soprano appears as one of their transition goals. My question is: why? What makes Tony Soprano as a character such an exceptional man, and what sets him apart from so many other characters?
