Phaedra/Kandi…..
This may get some hate LOL I’m genuinely confused why the consensus is that Kandi was the reason she and Phaedra fell out and some people even go as far as to say Kandi pushed Phaedra to do what she did. It’s really odd and I have to wonder if we watched the same show…
The narrative that Kandi abandoned Phaedra when she needed her during her divorce is wild to me because from what I recall, while they were still friends she expressed to Kandi how she was glad he was going away and her problem was now gone. She was dating other people and they were having issues before he went away. Kandi’s explanation as to why she didn’t feel the need to check on Phaedra like that was because she appeared to be okay….
Imo Phaedra was and is a liar and this has been shown since her 1st season. I can go on and on about the things she lied about LOL. Shes manipulative and will do anything to look virtuous. Once Apollo tarnished her “good name” as she said, she wasn’t crying over him, she was ready for him to go. Once Kandi wasn’t playing into the damsel in distress act to other people she became the enemy. It wouldn’t look good to the public or support her act if people knew she was dealing with another guy so soon or before the divorce was final. Her main concern is her image and saying Kandi wasn’t there for her was just another way to be the perfect victim. Kandi has her flaws but the narrative that she chose Apollo over Phaedra is crazy especially when Kandi was still defending her unknowing (on screen) while Phaedra was talking crap about her. Phaedra started that nasty lie because she didn’t like the things being said about her so she felt like it was revenge. The only difference is that what people were saying about Phaedra was true and as someone who is fixated on their image it was eating her up inside.
