Hedge Knight V2 - A Self Sufficient Fighter Gish

Welcome to V2 of the Hedge Knight,

I have heard the feedback on the original, so I have decided to rework it to be more of Fighter with a curated spell list based on travel, rather than make it a 1/3rd or 1/2 half caster. I can always go the other way if people find the 1/3rd or 1/2 caster with druid spells is more interesting.

I also changed the wording so now all spells are prepared spells and could be used with other spell slots. The 7th and 10th level features got the biggest rework, 7th level now focuses more on your camp and 10th level has more travel based options. Overall I think it fits the theme of the traveling knight a little better but as always feedback is greatly appreciated.

If a fighter with access to druid spells is what we want though, I can always rework it that way o7

Edit:
I have added the subclass as Homebrew in DnD Beyond and published it on Homebrewery, links below:

The Acolyte - A New Rogue Spell Caster

Hello again! I am working on sub classes that fit the theme of travel for an upcoming book I am working on and I didn't want to wait to post this subclass.

I have had the idea of a "Ritual Only" caster in the back of my mind for a while and I thought it fits well with the rogues design philosophy of being resourceless. Originally I was going to name it the cultist and have it focus more on the occult, but there is no reason this character can't work with other types of knowledge as well, so we have the Acolyte. A rogue who learns rituals and can cast them.

I think this fits well into the themes of the class by greatly expanding on its utility, but it can get a small damage boost from cantrip use. It also gives the rogue a little boost at 6 so the slump of subclass features between 3 and 9 isn't as hard.

Either way please feel free to give me feedback on the subclass, what changes do you think I should make to balance it.

Hedge Knight - A Self Sufficient Fighter Gish

Continuing on with my quest to make one Gish option for every class, I present the Hedge Knight. Rather than taking from the Wizard spell list, this is a more Druidic focused character. It is meant to be a character that can travel the roads with ease and help allies with it.

Looking for feed back especially around the 10th level feature, Druidic Mastery. Does giving half caster progression on the character break the fantasy a little bit?

As always any feedback is greatly appreciated

(P.S. I know Way of Telekinetic monk subclass was taken down, I will be fixing the issues with it soon)

Way of Telekinetics - A New Take on a Gish Monk

Hey All! This is my new monk gish: Way of the Telekinetics (I know they use warrior for 2024 but this sounds better).

This character is inspired by warriors who use their mind to control and improve their weapon. Jedi is the best example, but characters like the Ball Bearing Hunter from Elden Ring could be made with this as well.

I had troubles thinking of the best way to implement a floating weapon concept and would love feedback on how to improve it. I thought giving casting of spiritual weapon may work, have the user make a token they can attack from would be interesting too, but I decided on reach for weapon attacks because it ended up being cleanest. Its only for weapon attacks so it doesn't allow for super hard lock down with 15-30 foot opportunity attacks. Either way all feed back is appreciated!

The Demisoul Sorcerer V1 - Another take on a Gish Sorcerer

This is my first take on a gish sorcerer and looking for feedback. I was inspired by u/Absokith Silver Socerery Socerer, but I wanted to make a subclass that fits in more with the heroes of ancient Greek/Roman literature. It still makes use of meta-magic options as options for empowering your blades and helps make the character a bit more survivable.

Looking for feedback specifically with the metablade options and the spell selection, but any other feedback is appreciated!

I am playing a 4 player game on Saturday and need help deciding which faction I should play. I am torn between the following:

  • Nomad: Cool lore, I like all the agents they get
  • Crimson Rebellion: They seem to have cool mechanics
  • Ghosts of Creuss: I like the quick movement they have
  • XXcha Kingdom: I have a feeling that I will want to play turtle this time and they seem good for it
  • Titans of UI: Super unique mechanics

I have played Universities of Jol-Nar, Naaz-Rokha Alliance and Clan of Saar so far. I want to play a slightly more defensive/turtle style this game which makes me think XXcha, but any advice would be greatly appreciated
