Android 17 - Macrodroid Can No Longer Enable Wifi?

So, existing script worked fine, but now with recent updates by Google to Android (its a Pixel 9 Pro), the script no longer enables WiFi, and I have no idea how to fix this.

Is there any existing bug report on this behavior?

Pixel 9 Pro - WiFi Turning on at night by itself while phone sits on inductive charger

I have looked at all apps, and of the google-provided, only turned off "google home", as I do not use this. The apps that do have the ability to turn on WiFi are well-known long-used apps, so the most recent update must have changed something. Must I do a network log to find the culprit? Not sure how to nail this down.

Since July update, WiFi Turns On By Itself when on charger at night, slows charging

I have looked at all apps that have the ability to turn on WiFi, and while I have not disabled any of the google-owned app's abilty except google home, I am wondering how to resolve this. Must I do a 'network log' to find out the cause?

Cannot Push Rear Brake Cylinder Back In at 120K miles

I have a brake cylinder kit with assorted adapters and both left-hand and right-hand threaded turn-bolts, and I attempted to turn the cylinder clockwise to get it to go back in with this special-purpose tool, with the bleeder screw open to allow fluid out.

It would not budge. The car is a 2010 v50

What I am doing wrong here, its been decades since I had any problem with brakes, but I have never encountered these new-flanged rotating cylinders. Various Youtube videos for other P1 type cars offer no clue as to what I might be missing here.

A Fix For The Annoying Bluetooth "Device Type" Bug

So, my car has built-in bluetooth for phone calls only, and I have a separate bluetooth audio receiver that intercepts the "CD Player" feature to play at high(er) quality (a "Mr.12Volt" interface).
But ONLY phone calls need to be routed to the car, and ONLY music to the "Mr. 12 Volt". And google does not seem to allow one to change these settings, as it somehow in setup of a bluetooth device, decides what the capabilities are for each device.
It can be fixed as follows:

  1. Go to Settings > Apps > Google Play Services and select Disable. (Ignore the warnings, this is only temporary).
  2. Go to your Bluetooth settings and tap the gear icon next to your device.
  3. The "Phone calls" and the "Music" toggles will now be visible. Turn off and on as you please.
  4. Go back to Apps and Enable Google Play Services again.

That fixes it - you can create an exclusively "phone" connection that will never get a music stream, and a "music" connection that will never take a phone call. Yes, a very "first world problem", but a phone call that routes the wrong way can prompt the driver to mess with his phone, trying to re-route the audio, and cause an accident.

How To Stop "AI Data Centers" With Ease

I seem to have to play "Captain Obvious" here, and point out a far more simple way to stop "AI Data Centers" from being built in Bayonne. ("Like, share, and follow for more simple math and obvious-to-the-casual-observer insight...")

The difference between a reasonable use of a property, and unreasonable use is the load on community resources. Old-Skool backoffice computer centers for NYC banking and stockmarket use certainly is a legit "use" in Bayonne. But "the cloud" replaced most of that, as people somehow had more confidence in computers that Amazon or Google own and run than computers that they owned and ran themselves.

But those older backoffice computer centers did not require external WATER for cooling. And that's the bottleneck that can be legislated now, regardless of existing land-use approvals. The ordinance would be something like:

"No person or entity may utilize more than X gallons of water per month from any source for any purpose without prior written approval from the Bayonne City Council". Properties violating this ordinance would be closed and condemned for demolition at the owner's expense."

There ya go - easy to pitch, easy to adopt, and the limit on the use of water (groundwater, seawater, water sold by Veolia, stored rainwater...) is absolute. The maximum number would not really matter, as existing businesses that might use excessive water for far more productive and positive purposes (like the Drydock) can simply track and report its water use, and expect an approval within seconds of notification.

I don't have the time to chase down everyone on trivial nonsense like this, so someone please print this and hand it out to the city council members, both lame duck and newly-elected. There's no need to "protest", as no prior ordinance or land-use decision included the kind of electricity and water consumption required for a modern "AI-Grade Datacenter", any more than anyone was approved to build a spaceport.

I have added a one-way valve to the rearward hose at the pump and reservoir (behind the wheel well of the driver's front wheel) in hope of stopping backflow along the long hose from front to back of car, but this has not helped.

My rear washer just dribbles in the rear window, it never properly sprays. I have tried several spray nozzles, and I am about to attempt to pump hot water and blow compressed air from the front to the back one-way valve above the rear cargo bay light. Does anyone know if this is a solid tubing run, or if there are more connectors, perhaps one that might need cleaning out or replacing?

Does anyone have a rear washer that sprays the glass properly like the front washers do?

The transmission oil cooler is supposed to cool the transmission fluid via a heat exchanger with the coolant. There is no "radiator" or airflow, just a sealed aluminum box with a heat exchanger and four pipes.

Now riddle me this, Batman - if the typical transmission temp is 84 C, and the typical engine coolant temp is in the mid to high 90s C, how can the engine coolant be cooling the transmission fluid? It looks like this is not going to help at all.

I have not measured temps, but is the coolant as it comes out the the radiator that much cooler than the coolant temp at the cylinder head sensor?

I wonder if we should install an aftermarket "oil cooler" for the transmission, as we would do with 60s and 70s British sports cars for both engine oil.

Ideas? Opinions?
