What next?

I’ve been having a really hard time getting information from my attorney. Everything seems to happen with a lot of delays, so I wanted to ask here.

My CEAC account shows that my application is "Completed." My lawyer told me she mailed my documents to the NVC. As I understand it, the next step is to wait for Documentary Qualification (DQ).

Will my CEAC account show when the NVC receives my documents, or when I become DQ? I'd like to keep an eye on the process myself since my lawyer is often slow to provide updates.

Thanks in advance!

Don't Make My Mistake

/TLDR at the bottom/

This may seem obvious, but it's something that can easily be overlooked and end up costing you a lot of time.

I started my EB-3 process in 2023. Until this year, I honestly didn't believe the Visa Bulletin for EB-3 Skilled would move as quickly as it did. Then, to my surprise, I became current.

I knew I needed to have all my documents ready, so that wasn't a problem. The issue was that I took my lawyer's advice too literally when she told me not to worry about adding my spouse to the case because it could be done later which was ok with us as we bith have dual citizenship and had some plan already.

At the time, she was my girlfriend. After we became current, we got married within a week and immediately submitted all the required documents to the lawyer.

What I wasn't aware of is that adding a spouse to an already active case can take time. A lot of time. It's been over a month so far, and we're still waiting. The Public Inquiry process has been very slow.

I'm frustrated with myself for not doing more research and asking more questions. I'm also disappointed that my lawyer didn't mention that adding a spouse later could create delays, especially since they have experience with these cases.

My advice: do everything you can as early as possible, even if you're not current yet. Don't assume that "we can do it later" means it won't affect your timeline.

Good luck to everyone going through the process.

TL;DR: I followed my lawyer's advice and waited to add my future spouse to my EB-3 case. After becoming current, we got married and started the process, but adding her has taken over a month and is still not completed. Prepare everything as early as possible, even if you aren't current yet.

Refund and 1 star review

The customer placed an order, and I shipped it promptly. Two days later, the tracking unexpectedly changed to "Delivered," which was impossible since the package was being shipped from Asia to Tenerife, Spain.

After investigating, I discovered that the package had been returned because our national postal service does not deliver to the Canary Islands. As soon as I learned of the issue, I contacted the customer, explained the situation, apologized for the inconvenience, and offered two options: either reship the order to a mainland Spain address if that would work for them, or provide a full refund.

The customer requested a refund, which I processed immediately. The following day, the customer left a 1-star review stating, "I do not recommend."

Afterward, the customer sent me a message saying they would not change the review until they received the refund. I explained that the refund had already been processed on May 29, but the customer replied that they had not yet received it. As refunds can take several business days to appear depending on the payment provider, this delay is outside of my control.
