Please recommend a new 4x game

I'm looking to get a new 4x game (or other turn based strategy?) during the Steam Sale, but am not sure if what I want is out there.

Basically, I'm looking for something that involves making fewer decision, but having each one much more weighty. I'm not interested in choosing between 2 types of incremental improvements (i.e. +.5% to food generation vs .6% to production) and am looking for things that actually change the way the game is played. Things that seem game breaking but aren't, because the alternatives are just as impactful. I don't care at all about multiplayer. Does such a game exist?

Here's a bit of background on my preferences. I was into Civ games years ago, but gradually became less interested with each new release. I barely played Civ 6 and have no interest in Civ 7. I've tried getting into the Paradox games a few times, but can't seem to get over the learning curve. I like Slay the Spire a lot. I'm also into table top boardgames (medium/medium heavy euros are my favorite).

Any suggestions would be very much appreciated. Thanks!

Favorite Lumibricks build technique you've seen?

I've build about 10 sets now, and the thing that most impressed me was the way the stairs were constructed in the Vineyard Estate. I can't really explain why, but the way they came together was immensely satisfying! What was everyone else's favorite build technique?
