Struggling

I had 18 days clean, which is the most I’ve had since I started in 2022, but I started again and now I’m at 3 days.
My body feels sucked dry of moisture and nutrients. My hair is thin and greasy and my skin is dry. Any advice on how to take care of my body during recovery? Lotions, face wash, vitamin recommendations? Anything that helped you get back to where you were before Kratom?

8 days Kratom free!

I’m already feeling noticeably better. I didn’t realize how depressed Kratom made me. I had completely given up on life and had no joy left. I’m starting to feel hope again!

Scared & need support

Today is only day 2 without Kratom extract and my heart is pounding. It’s really scaring me. Is this normal? I barely slept, which always gives me palpitations, but this is much worse. My entire body is shaky. I have had open heart surgery in the past, so it’s extra scary.

Has anyone quit extracts?

I’m almost done tapering off my last bottle of White Gold Kratom extract. Been taking it for about four years and my stomach is just now starting to get messed up. A 15 ml bottle that’s supposed to be three doses lasted me about a week before I started tapering. I’ve never tried 7OH thankfully, but I was addicted to heroin years ago. Is the withdrawal comparable at all? Will it be a year before I’m back to my normal?

Struggling

I was diagnosed bipolar in 2015, but I’ve had multiple therapists say they think it’s just depression and ptsd. I don’t know what to believe anymore. I used to feel manic a lot more when I was younger. Now it’s mostly long bouts of depression where I can’t get out of bed, but during summer I always feel what I considered mania. I’m not sleeping, I’m hyper sexual and angry, shopping, substance abuse, grand plans etc. The clinic I was diagnosed at wasn’t the best and I’ve tried multiple times to get psych evals, but my insurance keeps denying the requests. My Mom had a lot of these same issues when I was a kid. She’d be in bed for months, even years and then she’d pull it together and be able to function. I’d also wake up and she’d be ripping up the carpet and painting the living room at 3am.
