Has anyone applied for a work permit after the 180 days while their reconsideration was still pending? What was the outcome? Was your application accepted, refused, or did IRCC provide any flexibility?

I have been calling different consultants and everyone is giving different advice. Some say we can restore to visitor status, some say as worker again, some suggest a study permit, some say apply for TRV, and others recommend judicial review.
It's been 2 months and I still haven't received any update on my reconsideration. The most confusing part is that some consultants say I can reapply for a work permit, while others say reapplication is not possible.
