TIL about loading Armies in Fleets and buggy behavior?

So I'm not sure if its something with playing Isabella + Spain or just the Logistics ability, but the fleet commander can carry units which means you can load an army commander + loaded units into one slot of the fleet commander. So potentially with a super fast fleet commander (boosted with the conquistador for example) you can carry at minimum 4 x 4 = 16 units into a single fleet commander. That seems a little broken.

That being said, unloading that commander seems pretty glitchy which makes me wonder if this was intentional at all. If you just unload the army commander on its own, it'll unload but still show up in the fleet commander, if you "deploy army" then the army commander will teleport and unload again with the other ships. Sometimes it won't unload at all and just vanish and show up in the fleet commander again if you do an "assemble army".

Anyone else notice this? Was it always like this?

Edit: Ok looks like its a bug, but you CAN get it to mostly work. Basically deploying just the army commander doesn't always work, but deploying all usually does. If you deploy all and can't click on the army, then assemble again and load it back in and try again. It most consistently works if you deploy all to the ocean vs trying to deploy to land.

Tiny Tower - Pocket folding dice tower

So someone asked for help designing a very specific dice tower and that project worked out really well but I thought the design could be adapted to something a little more generally useful. This version folds up in a few seconds into a 7" x 3" carrying case that doubles as the dice tray when opened. Entire tower only uses 132 g of filament.

Vending Machine Dice Tower

I don't know if anyone is following along with the Cola Wars kickstarter but the cola machine dice tower really just kept me thinking I could do something interesting with an improvement on a previous dice tower design. The front opens like a real vending machine with racks of drinks inside that you can pull out to use as token bins (or storage), then you push the shelves down and it becomes a dice tower with dice coming out of the vending hole. Shelf fronts are inserts for the bins so you could do something elaborate if you want or design your own.

Issues and discussion: I have an alternate front that I thought of that has a big window instead of the artwork, would that be more interesting? You would be able to see the shelf fronts and I guess in dice tower mode see the dice coming down. I do like the artwork though. I'm almost out of black filament though or I'd just print it and see.

Also I had a hell of a time getting the artwork to print, it kept peeling up with adhesion issues. I ended up having to use much slower first layer settings for it to come out, anyone have suggestions for something foolproof I can bake into the 3mf file?

Yes I know my camerawork sucks, ha.

Stackable Card and Token Holder

Someone posted asking about making a generic card rack so I came up with this. Holds standard size or smaller cards and game bits, stackable, in triple, double or single bay options. Let me know if you're interested in any other options. The exposed mesh print profile I think looks better but it makes the peak of the connector a little weak, there's a 2nd profile that keeps top/bottom layers.

Update 5/29/26 - Added 3 additional versions that have a flat sloped base for cards only, they're also listed with a “c" at the end for individual stl files. Also updated so you don't need to choose between print profiles anymore.

Shackleton Base with Above Below Beyond - Organizer

Shackleton Base organizer with the Below - Within - Above expansion and sleeved cards. Uses the original corporation boxes with new inserts for each one (except for the one base astronaut box as it just barely fits all the astronauts as is). Includes separate lidded player and token containers. Its a pretty tight fit with all the new content so there's about 3 mm of lid lift once everything is in.

I thought this one would be really easy since it already has all the boxes but everything is just weird off module in size so it was quite a puzzle to squeeze it in.

Kinfire Delve - Combined Storage

Friend of mine asked for a storage solution that could combine all 3 versions of Kinfire Delve into a single box... tried out using sliding lids this time with cut-outs to show off the fantastic artwork on this game. Also first time printing the actual box itself... it seems kinda wasteful but if you have no choice, it gives some room for creativity like colorizing the logo by using a contrasting color for the token container.

Don't have a 3d printer? You can now buy it here at my only licensed vendor: https://www.etsy.com/listing/4497030913/kinfire-chronicles-storage-box-all-3
