Been healing a shoulder injury so I’ve been off my routine but when I’m at 100%, I train 4-5 times a week. 1-2 days doing partner drills and sparring and session with coach 1x a week.

My favorites are the Reap of Faith Super Samurai 16oz for sparring, Bayoneta PuLat for all around, New Sporting HH on pads, Messengers on pads and technical bag work, most surprising were the Seyers and the Guerras, Everlast I didn’t like at first but they’ve grown on me, ROF 12oz and Kings need more break in but I love the feel, most excited about the Spartacus for sparring I haven’t gotten to work much with them yet but I should be back training harder in the next week.

Also Waiting on my Cheguis, very psyched to finally grab a pair.

**EDIT the number is not rating btw, I was just naming the gloves in order**

How to avoid hyperextending elbow

I have hyperextended my elbow many times. It's always my lead hand and it has happened at least 3 times badly and it takes rehabbing it and time off to heal. I believe I now know how and why it keeps happening:

  1. (Partner drills/Sparring) Reaching or turning over my jab too early. I've done this from reaching with jabs during sparring. It's also happened from turning over my punch too early and corkscrewing my jab so that upon impact my elbow/forearm tendon is taking the force in the improper direction..
  2. (Bag work) Improper technique via winding up my hooks too much + arm punching my hooks which causes the forearm tendon/elbow to take too much force when making impact on the bag. I have had a tendency to do big moves when learning and have to refine and refine until they are tight movements, big movements include winding my hooks and looping them too wide. I've also had the problem of not driving with my legs/hip which results in arm punching hooks into the bag with stiffened shoulder and elbow position which causes the same problem.

My question is for anyone who has had this injury before. What do you believe caused it? Any feedback or experience is helpful..

[selling] Rival RB10 XL Bag Gloves & New Sporting Immemorial 16oz

Rival RB10 Bag Gloves XL - Used in great condition, has some minor discoloration on front of fist due to hitting bags and bc they’re white gloves - $150 shipped in US

(SOLD) New Sporting Immemorial 16oz - Used in great condition, logos peeled off immediately bc the style of grain on the leather, also I changed the laces to match the inner liner (way nicer than the original imo) - $280 shipped in US

Both pairs of gloves wiped and cleaned after every session, dried with boot dryer, no odor, well maintained. Selling bc they fell out of rotation a while ago as I got more gloves. Open to trades for 16oz gloves in similar condition
