Is there a reason Toyota can't make driver legroom better?

Home Depot DeWalt/Simpson DXPW3625 - 3600 PSI - 2.5gpm - Honda GX200 engine pressure washer with the AAA triplex pump. I want to replace the pump. 1. Has anyone done a pump upgrade on this engine/pressure washer? if so what specific pump did you use? 2. alternatively what governs which pumps will work on this washer? do i just need to specify the engine model? im not sure how to optimize pump choices.
