Lara Roth, my new author obsession

During a recent Stuff-Your-Kindle day I downloaded {Delivered and Devoured by Lara Roth} and friends, I am now going to embark on reading anything she’s ever written because I am obsessed. I’ll be honest that I almost passed it by because of the cheesy Harlequin-style covers (a personal pet peeve) but yall, the writing is BEAUTIFUL. Style is subjective so YMMV of course, but the best way I can describe it is if Jeanette Winterson wrote steamy alien romance. Spice level is middling in that it’s open door but more poetic than explicit, which I happen to love. And there are sooo many books!! Quick reads but very satisfying.

Flew too close to the sun….now what??

I have a probably silly, first-time-parent situation I’m hoping someone has some advice (or even just words of encouragement) for…

Little guy just turned 2. Goes to daycare 4 days/week, and while there has been sitting on the potty at each change because he started asking at 23 months (saw some friends do it and got excited 😆) but hadn’t been going pee or poop when sitting there, just kinda swung his legs around and said “all done” then practiced washing hands, etc. Thats wonderful, we had a trip planned right before 2 and wanted to wait til after. Now we’re home and had been gearing up for a 3 day weekend in August to do the “oh crap” thing…but yesterday and this morning he peed in the potty?? on purpose?? which is amazing and wonderful and we’re so proud AND I have no idea what to do. Do we need to emergently clear our schedules this week to keep the momentum up and just get it done? will keeping him in pullups when he’s shown he can pee in the potty at least sometimes just undo that association and make it harder down the road? It feels like we had a plan and now it’s half done and I’m not prepared for the next step and don’t know what to do next!

Ideas for a getting just a few large items state to state

Hello! This may be a long shot but I’m wondering if anyone has ideas for getting just a few large/cumbersome items from a relatives house in AZ to our house in OR. Neither of us are fully moving, just trying to get a few big items state to state after a death in the family: motorcycle (not running), piano, dining table. Clearly not enough for a full truck, maybe not even for a small pod, but difficult to do ourselves. I’m feeling pretty lost in all the options out there…has anyone done something like this before and have ideas on the most efficient method (or even some better search keywords I might use besides “moving”, since that isn’t quite accurate)?

Thank you!!

Hoping I can get some help from the wise people of this sub! I've gotten better info here than any of the servicer or StudentAid.gov resources...

I have multiple federal loans, a mix of subsidized, unsubsidized, and grad PLUS. I have had pretty minimal servicer assignment switching, did not join SAVE, and have been in PAYE for the entirety of repayment. Because I never switched to SAVE and had always been on a qualifying plan and in qualifying employment, there never seemed to be a need to consolidate my loans. I've been tracking the number of eligible payments and recertifying regularly, and now my two undergrad loans are at 124 payments and should, in theory, be eligible for PSLF. Currently I have an icon next to those loans on the StudentAid dashboard tracker that says "you've reached 120 payments but may need to meet other program requirements", but the link for "more details" is pretty useless and doesn't say anything about what requirements those might be. The letter included with my most recent PSLF recert update confirms those two loans have 124 eligible payments and says "your loans may be eligible for PSLF on different timelines" which seems to indicate those two can get forgiven first, but it's not very specific.

Is this just a matter of waiting a bit longer for things to move through the system? Will those loans not, in fact, get forgiven before the rest of them hit 120? Did I do something horribly wrong in not consolidating over the years?

Thank you to anyone with insight or experience to share! Truly, so grateful for this place.
