[21/M] New to South Holland. Looking for friends to deal with reality - [18-24 yo]

Hi everyone,

I’m a newcomer to the Netherlands, currently based in the South Holland region. I arrived on my own as a refugee from Ukraine, and I’m looking to meet people who value depth over shallow interactions.

About me:

I’m currently going through a rough patch. Due to a medical condition, high-energy social activities are difficult for me, and dealing with social anxiety adds another layer to that. I’m honestly done with online-only friendships and endless chatting. I’m looking for something tangible and real.

My interests lie in psychology, biology and philosophy. I’ve spent way too much time being in my head, and I’m ready for a change.

What you can expect:

I’m not into gaming or debating music tastes. I prefer evening walks, spending time at the beach, or long, late-night conversations, anything that involves being present.

I don’t do social conventions, masks, forced positivity, or small talk. If something matters to me, I’m all in. I’m a problem solver by nature, so I’m always aiming to move forward.

What I’m looking for:

I’m looking for someone nearby who doesn't like to sit still, someone who stays calm in a crisis and isn't afraid of deep, honest communication. Also, if you're the kind of person whose energy is focused on the world around you, that will be a plus.

Because of my situation, I’m being very protective of my mental resources. Please reach out only if you are genuinely interested.

If you’re also just trying to navigate life and feel like being around someone who values the same kind of realness, my DMs are open.

Let's start with this question: At what point did you realize that everything depends solely on you? (Aside from circumstances beyond your control)

Let's see if we can save each other some nerves.

Have a good evening.

Is anyone going to the concert in Amsterdam?

I’m going solo, and I would like to meet up with someone who also appreciates her incredible vocal agility

I think Faouzia is becoming more and more recognizable — maybe she’ll even be invited to perform at the Grammys?

Her new album, Film Noir, is just amazing. I think she’s setting the bar high for the entire music industry. Also, her performance at the Grammy Museum must mean something..
