My 29-Year-Old Athlete Brother Collapsed After Just 2 Hours Outside. I Had No Idea Heat Could Do This

My brother is 29, in great shape, and an athlete. We were outside for maybe two hours in what honestly felt like nice weather. We had water with us, and he drank all of his. I thought we were being careful. Then out of nowhere, he collapsed.

I keep replaying it in my head because I didn’t understand how something like this could happen. It was “just heat,” and he wasn’t some fragile person ignoring basic precautions. It really scared me. Please be careful out there, even when the weather doesn’t seem extreme. Heat can sneak up fast, and water alone doesn’t always mean you’re safe.

This sub is the worst forum to get feedback

Go find people you can trust. Not strangers on Reddit. I know people mean well. But you have to understand that filmmakers are very competitive and a lot of feedback will come from spite and misinformation. Connect with people IRL. Go find screenwriting groups. Find people you can meet in person.

We have a Kith in Williamsburg. Why are you against having an Aldi?

Williamsburg’s cost of living is already high. We don’t need more expensive Kith-type stores, boutique gyms, wine bars, or fancy markets. We need useful low-cost places like Aldi, Planet Fitness, Dollar Tree, Five Below, TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Burlington, Target, affordable laundromats, and basic pharmacies. People need places to buy groceries, soap, socks, medicine, detergent, and toilet paper without paying luxury prices for normal stuff.

This shouldnt be controversial. Low-cost stores make neighborhoods easier to live in. Students, families, seniors, artists, service workers, and regular people all need affordable options nearby. Fancy stores will definetly still exist. But Williamsburg also needs places for people who just want to buy eggs, work out, or get basic stuff without feeling broke after.
