Would an X-com style Last of Us spinoff game be interesting?

I had a random shower thought about some kind of AA game that was done in the X-Com setting.

Maybe just using the characters and a spinoff storyline.

Of all the live service games Playstation has tried, why not SOCOM?

Feels like the market has zero army-sim kinda games. The one IP they have which actually makes sense to turn into an online project.

Something that isn't a twitch shooter like modern call of duty or battlefield. More of a sim and hardcore style.
