Can I install and run the Yahoo mail app if I buy an old Ipad (generation 7 or 8 for example)

My mother has dementia so she can't use a web browser to access email. I'm trying to find an old ipad that will run yahoo mail. I saw some 7th generation or 8th generation ipads on amazon for less than $200. Are they too old to install the yahoo mail app? Will it run okay for a couple years?

Does anyone sell toeless socks for men?

I'm trying to wear 4 or 5 pairs of socks at once inside the house so that when I walk around it doesn't aggravate my neuroma. I can't wear sandals or slippers right now because I have an ankle injury (weak peroneus). If I wear 4 or more pairs of socks it tends to put too much pressure on my toe and I tend to develop ingrown toenails.

Amazon seems to have a lot of toeless socks for women but none for men.

What do people with more advanced forms of dementia do to entertain themselves? What happens when they can't use a tv remote, computer tablet or walk around as much as normal?

My mother injured herself recently and I'm not sure if it affected her memory, but at the same time she lost her TV remote and her tablet stopped working so we had to give her an old TV remote and old tablet that she had used before. But this time she had a lot of problems using them.. I'm guessing that there must be some stage when people with dementia lose the ability to use the TV, computer or modern phones. What can you do to keep the person busy when that happens? For people who have parents in a nursing home, what do nursing homes usually do to keep patients busy? My mother doesn't seem to have any serious symptoms of dementia (she can still talk normally, she can get out of bed and walk, and she recognizes all of the people around her).

I remember a similar question had been asked before, but I didn't see many things that consistently worked other than asking them to fold clothes over and over again to keep them busy. 😞

Is it hard to get covered for orthotics? do you need a referral from a doctor?

I have a neuroma on my foot so I need to get orthotics as soon as possible. Does anyone know what the process is like? Do they cover the full amount? I think I got orthotics from ODSP about 15 years ago but I don't remember how and I heard that the process has changed since then.

How to pair replacement Bell Voice Remote (VIP 7802 remote) with TV to power on/off

My mother has dementia and keeps losing her remotes. I bought a new Bell voice remote to replace the one that she lost and it works fine with the box but I can't seem to get it to pair with the TV. I wonder to pair with the TV to be able to turn the power on and off. I know the older remotes have an "options" button that you can press to pair with the TV but I'm not sure how this remote pairs. There is an option under settings to setup the remote, but that option only seems to pair with the TV for sound control and I'm not sure that it works properly either (it asks you to hold down the mute button but doesn't say anything about the power button). Anyway help would be greatly appreciated

My mother wakes up in the middle of the night and starts complaining loudly about how her computer is too hard to use or the tv is too hard to use or some other complaint. I keep asking her to please not wake me up in the middle of the night but every time I tell her she seems to just not care at all. She will just change the subject and talk about something else. Whenever I tell her that she is doing something that is hurting me she seems to just not care or acknowledge what I said. Is this normal?
