What is the deadline before boot camp to expect a call? (Local 11)

My former coworker who was number 6 on the poe list for local 11 just got called up to boot camp starting July 6. I’m number 32 on the poe list and wondering if i should expect to get a call for the same class, I believe there are going to be 50 people in this class maybe 60. Thanks for any insight

Commercial apprentice, enjoyed running these home runs

Let me know what you’d have done differently. Originally it was supposed to be just the 1” and 3/4” into the 6x6 can, but ended up needing 4 more 1” home runs for the new freezers and coolers on this remodel I’ve been working for the last few months. Learning more and more everyday and loving it!

Commercial electrician apprentice looking to buy a new tool, SDS rotary hammer or steel fish tape with leader?

I’m a commercial apprentice and just got a gift card as a birthday present and am looking to invest in a new tool. I already have almost everything I could ever need as far as power tools go (bandsaw, hackzall, multitool, angle grinder, standard Milwaukee drill with hammer function that doesn’t work great, and an impact). I also have a 200’ ideal fiberglass fish tape but it doesn’t do well on long runs with many bends, plus I don’t want to fuck it up on the job and would rather save it for fishing into live panels/gutters/etc.

Would you invest in a proper Milwaukee sds plus drill or a nice 240’ steel fish tape with a leader (most likely would go with klien or ideal)? i know there is a price difference but eventually I’ll need to get both but only have the budget for one or the other for now.

I know realistically both of these tools should be employer provided, but where I work sds drills are the responsibility of the employees to own so I always need to borrow a coworker‘s when I need to set wedge anchors or do anything else with concrete which doesn’t happen too often. My employer does provide fish tapes but they‘re incredibly beat up and don’t have leaders, and I pull a lot of wire and usually end up using my coworkers fish tape. Thanks in advance.
