I have been wanting to dye my virgin hair light brown hair black, I was looking at semi permanent dyes (Arctic fox, manic panic, adore etc) but I have a few questions for those that use these?
I used to dye my hair fairly frequently, but I haven't in few years and let my natural colour grow out.
3 years of hard work and all previous lightener has now been chopped off as it grew out, and don't really want to use damaging products with developer on my hair again.

Does the colour leave the hair? if you left it and didn't top up the colour, would the hair go fade close to the natural colour?
How long typically between washes would the colour need to be topped up?
What is the colour payout like on natural hair?
