Hi, I’m looking at taking nursing prereqs and want to take A&P1 as soon as possible so I can take A&P2 and Microbiology after as well. Has anyone taken it over an 8 week summer term, specifically with Jason Hendershot? My advisor recommended saving it for Fall and working on other prereqs instead, and since I’m considering applying to the UCF program, I might replace it with General Biology I since I believe it can be a prereq for their program and it is an alternative prereq for Microbiology if I don’t take A&P1 over the summer. If anyone has been accepted into UCF nursing please let me know as I have some questions!

Hi, I have 6 credit hours left in my AA at Valencia and am looking at working on the preqreqs for the Traditional BSN at UCF to apply for Fall 2027. Of the 8 prereqs, I have only PSY 2012 done, so I was thinking of doing BSC 2085c Anatomy and Physiology 1 and STA 2023 Statistical Methods at Valencia to complete my Science and Math requirements for my AA, that way I can do 4 prereqs during Fall 2026 and be enrolled in my last prereq during Spring 2027 to be able to apply for Fall 2027.

I signed up for A&P1 and Stats with the intention of completing my prereqs at Valencia to pay half the price I would than doing them at UCF since I would have to pay out of pocket, but I wanted to know if I should change A&P1 to BSC 1010c General Biology I (equivalent to BSC 2010c Biology 1 at UCF) so I can take at least some if not all my other prereqs at UCF if that would look better on my nursing application? I know if I take A&P1 at Valencia I'll have to take A&P2 at Valencia, but does it make a difference if I do the other prereqs at Valencia? The only one I'm not sure about doing at Valencia is HUN 3011 Human Nutrition since it doesn't have an established equivalency at Valencia. Does anyone know if Biology 1 can be an alternative for CHM 1032 General Chemistry as an "other approved life or physical science", and what other ones could count? Regardless I think it would be good to do since I can use it as a prereq for the other 3 science prereqs if I take them at UCF.
