(Update) Money back from Elitehubs

This is a continuation of this post : https://www.reddit.com/r/IndianGaming/s/KvLNcdAh4J

I've been in touch with the person who handled my original order for about a month now, and we've finally reached a conclusion.

They've agreed to send me the PC if I pay the remaining balance. Honestly, I think it's a pretty fair deal.

The best part is that they're honoring the original November 2024 price, even though hardware prices have changed since then. They said I can simply pay the remaining amount and they'll ship the PC.

I'm actually quite grateful they were willing to work this out after such a long gap. I know I was at fault for not communicating back then, so I wasn't expecting them to keep the original pricing.

Now I'm just trying to decide whether I should go ahead with it. Do you guys think this is the best outcome I could have hoped for, or is there anything I should keep in mind before making the final payment? Any advice is appreciated.

Money back from Elitehubs

Hi everyone,

I need some advice regarding a situation I'm in.

Back in November 2024, I ordered a custom PC from EliteHubs and paid around ₹70,000 as an advance (roughly half of the total amount). The PC was built and kept ready, but due to unexpected financial difficulties, I wasn't able to pay the remaining balance and collect it.

The store tried contacting me for the next 2–3 months, but because of personal and financial issues at the time, I unfortunately couldn't respond to their calls. I know this was my mistake, and I genuinely apologize for the inconvenience caused.

Fast forward to June 2026, and from what I understand, the PC is still with them. My financial situation is still not great, and I could really use the money I paid. If a refund isn't possible, I'd at least hope to receive products/components of equivalent value for the amount I already paid.

Before contacting them, I'd like to know:

Has anyone been in a similar situation with a PC retailer?

Is there any chance of getting a partial refund after such a long time?

If a refund isn't possible, is it reasonable to ask for components or store credit equivalent to the amount paid?

How should I approach the conversation professionally and respectfully?

I fully accept that I should have communicated earlier, and I'm not trying to blame the store in any way. I'm just hoping to find the fairest possible resolution for both sides.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! 🙏
