Food at the Base

I have a friend who is hospitalised at the moment, and they are having a really hard time with the food. They're already restricted on what they can order due to dietary restriction.

Is the food served to patients at the Base regularly bad?

In the sense of they dont get what they order, the quality is almost inedible etc. Or, is it specific wards that are affected.

Note, they have been a patient at several hospitals, big and small, but this is by far the worst. We know hospital food isn't great (hilarious really).

Red Rooster $10 chickens

Hi all,

For those who have red rooster avail, they're currently running a special for $10 whole chooks, Monday to Wednesday. Two chooks per person per day limit. You can get it Thursday and Friday too, but have a $15 min spend on other items.

Not avail online or delivery.

They are larger, and in many opinions, better than colesworth chooks.

Depending on the price per kg of whole raw chickens, you are getting a not bad deal for a little effort. Strip the meat, keep the bones for stock. You've got lunch meat, dinner/s.

Good luck to all, and cash in on this deal - running til mid August!

Hi all,

My husband is wanting a tweed waistcoat.

He is 6'5" and about a 4-5XL.

He doesn't want the satin on the back and wants a pocket for his fob watch. It is clearly a look he is after.

We are aware of the Gordon Hat Shoppe in Gordon having tweed items, but their price of nearly $500 is a bit beyond our budget.

Is there somewhere in Melbourne that we could get this?
