Feira Popular no Palácio de Cristal: Alguém se lembra?

Eu nunca percebi porque tiraram a Feira Popular do Palácio de Cristal e puseram no terreno baldio perto de Matosinhos. Cheguei a ser assaltado lá.

Is Olivia Wilde for The Invite the dark horse for Best Actress?

I'm seeing a lot of buzz on her and I wouldn't be shocked if she became the first woman to be nominated for Best Director/Best Actress. Can she win? I don't know. There are still many candidates in the game.

I don't see it for Renate Reinsve for Fjord. Those who've seen the movie have said she plays a mostly passive part and Sebastian Stan is the one with the showier role.

Would "The End of Oak Street" been more suited for January or February?

I can't help but feel the movie is suffering from having it come out in such a tough spot. Spider Man and The Odyssey are dominating everything and it doesn't seem the public has interest in watching anything else.

Eddie and Patsy selling Saffy for human slavery was too cruel and heartless, even for laughs

The only reason Saffy wasn't mad at Eddie was because she didn't know Patsy had sold her and Eddie knew about it. I know this was a sitcom but part of me felt it was too much of a stretch.

As much of a bad mother as Eddie was, she did love Saffy. She just was too immature to be a proper mom (not helped by the fact Gran was a awful mother who never removed her gloves to touch her and kept reminding Eddie how fat and unlovable she was).

What are your thoughts on Willem Dafoe's nominated performance for "The Florida Project"?

Deserving. A big name in a movie like this could have been distracting but Dafoe blends well with the unknown cast and soon, I even forgot it was Willem Dafoe even though he does get a bit hammy in a few scenes.

I actually would love to see more movies where a big name takes a supporting role is a small indier movie with a bunch of unknowns. And I enjoyed The Florida Project.

Will Saoirse Ronan win an Oscar some day?

I used to think she would but it seems like she hasn't been able to get back in her A game since Little Women. Will Linda McCartney be the one to finally grant her the Oscar which has been alluding her?

Jacks (Kate O'Mara) - "Marlene and Judy rolled into one": Do you wish we had seen more of her?

One of my favorite episodes of Ab Fab is New Year's Eve and strictly because of the iconic Jacks. Every word out of her mouth became gay lexicon for me. Kate O'Mara played it to the hilt. She was so much fun. I wish she had come back more often.

"Too Late to Flush Her Now"...."She was DEAD??!!"...."Another one who's ballooned"

Why was Saffy still playing the long suffering daughter shtick in her 20s and 30s in the later seasons?

The problem with Saffy is that while she did have a point in the early seasons, her refusal to leave the house and live on her own does mean Julia Salwahla might have been correct in her assessment of Saffy, that she enjoyed the comfort of living off her mother.

Look up the Season 3 finale, she couldn't adapt to living at the college campus. After you reach adulthood, you can't keep on blaming your mother for everything that goes wrong in your life.

Did Cuba Gooding Jr deserve to win the Oscar for "Jerry Maguire"?

For me, I would have given the Oscar to Edward Norton for "Primal Fear". To be honest, Cuba Gooding Jr was 4th place for me.

1 - Edward Norton (Primal Fear)

2 - William H. Macy (Fargo)

3 - Armin Mueller Stahl (Shine)

4 - Cuba Gooding Jr (Jerry Maguire)

5 - James Woods (Ghosts of Mississippi)

What kind of relationship would Brenda and Valerie would have had if they had interacted on the show?

I don't believe Valerie would have slept with Dylan if Brenda was still on the show. It's hard to believe Valerie could have fooled Brenda as she did the Walshes with her good girl act.

How many of you lost interest or stopped watching "Beverly Hills 90210" after Shannen Doherty/Brenda Walsh left?

I recall watching a few clips on TV and it just wasn't the same without Brenda. I did watch a few episodes involving Joe being tried for knocking Ray out, in trying to protect Donna.
